  • High flow catted downpipes
  • 100% opened exhaust valve controller
  • Eibach lowering springs
  • CSL titanium strut brace

4 stage paint correction, protection and ceramic coat applied.

The factory paint has a very hard finish, great to polish and really pops with the right treatment.

The dealer prep work was quite substandard. I spent about 3 days getting the paintwork to this level.

Looks excellent. Simply wish that PPF could be applied over a ceramic coating. That's the only drawback to that final slick coat.

Thank you mate!

Yes quite a bit of elbow grease went into that polish

4 stages on brand new paint? Sheesh. Just did a single step Friday and the paint is perfect.

Which coating did you go with?

Thank you mate.

They did the standard polish from what I could understand.

The problem with M2s coming to Australia is they're sitting on the ship and the docks so long that I assume the paint work is getting a bit too knocked around for $130k premium vehicle.

But after a few days of special treatment mine came up very well. The video doesn't do it justice.

Yeah, especially with your ports so backed up, I imagine. Is that situation improving yet?

I was curious if the dealer prep was more extensive for that reason, one hopes they do a better job than ours. Sounds like they do, most customers here ask them NOT to touch the car.

No unfortunately the situation at the ports is even worse. I originally ordered a Brooklyn Grey but this stuck in Mexico so I found a Black Sapphire.

Dealers here do an average to decent job I'd say.. I think next time Ill make the same request, "do not touch" and just spend the 4days prepping the car myself. I feel like it would.of been less work for me to have started with a rough but fresh paint job.

That's what I did after I asked salesman how good their detail department is. Got car home, sprayed off, presoak with foam cannon, rinse, soap with cannon and new microfibers in soapy bucket, 1 microfiber per panel, rinse always going back over prior panels, hydrophobic afterwash and heavy microfiber drying towels, followed by a polish (after looking over paint), and then a ceramic coating.

Looks great mate. My car has held up beautifully, 4 almost 5 months in still looks the day I finished the polish work;
