Got smoked by rs3

I’m a manual m2 and got killed by a tuned rs3. I’m thinking even if I was tuned he’d beat me. He shot off around 40 like a rocket. 😭 I’m wondering if I was tuned if I even have a chance. Maybe if I was auto. 😭

You were never in that race when up against a tuned double clutch auto with quattro drive system. However, the G87 with 6sp is far more satisfying to drive on a challenging road.

Guess you should sell the M2. There's always faster cars, never understood why anyone cares who beats who on the street.

Yes and you have no reason to respond to such fools. Let them go. They do what? Nothing at all. Just other drivers in other cars.

Well, many care. I agree 100% that there will always be a car faster than what you are driving. It is what it is. If one mods or street races, one should know and accept this.

On my initial tune, at ~625+ whp, I got smoked by a F series 435. Turned out to be a fully built big turbo running on e85 pushing 800whp. After getting my ass handed to me, I asked with a smile, what are you driving? After ge told me, he politely said "I like your car, wanna trade" to me. That is what street racing is about.

By the same token, after my e40 and trans tune, I dogged an LS1 camaro with mods. All he did was sped off in anger (or embarrassment?). That's just how some will act...

RS3s are awesome. i just dont have faith in long term prospects of any VAG product right now. plus no stick. i also got smoked by a tuned first gen RS3 about 3 months ago, but we were both all smiles and thumbs up. its about the culture first and foremost

I’ve had more people try to race me in the 9 months I’ve owned the M2 than in all my other cars combined.

And Black M badges.. er wait..

Speaking of black M badges, I have a rear black M badge, brand new in plastic, waiting for my car, that now, is coming with black M badges. Let me know if interested.

I also have a brand new in plastic M Performance shift knob, waiting for my car, that now, is coming with a ZF8. Let me know if interested.

Ha…I have been looking at the RS3 as well. I like the small size of them but my heart is set on the M2. I keep looking at others cars because I have nothing better to do until I get my allocation.

I cross-shopped the RS3 before purchasing the M2. I love the RS3, but it was very uncomfortable for daily driving compared to the M2 at 6'3. Getting in and out was a pain and the long doors on the M2 make things so much easier.

The RS3 is a monster stock or tuned. The AWD, dual-clutch, and ease of tuning make it rocket. Also, the 5 cylinder sounds so good.

I love the RS3 but I chose the M2 (patiently waiting for its arrival). Coming from a 2016 8V A3, the new 8Y really doesn’t look much different than that 2016 model. I also don’t like that Audi really hasn’t increased power numbers in the past few generations. The new ones are for sure quicker and put the power down better though!

+1. i fit better in the M2 than M3 or RS3 simply due to door size and positioning of the B pillar. i was in a loaner 3 series recently that felt more cramped.

I almost bought an RS3 about 4 years ago and decided against it. Great car, but I'm kinda over the VW/Audi thing and some of the styling doesn't excite me, in addition to the 4 doors.
Impressive fit/finish as usual though. Have not really even thought to look at the new ones. I'm in solid coupe-mode now.

Last weekend a Corvette tried on the freeway right before my exit. When he realized I wasn’t going to he cut across all the lanes as it was his exit too apparently…
