What is the golf tee mod?

Hi all have heard of the golf tee mod what is it? How does it affect the car and can I do it myself?

It's a mod for 335's, keeps a flap in the exhaust all the time, changing the exhaust note at certain rpm's and a very slight drone while cruising.

dont do the golf tee, do the alternative...takes 2 seconds and it sounds really nice

Not entirely true...will work with 325/328/330is as well

E90/E92? I've seen it done on older ones but not an E90/E92 that wasn't a 330/335i.

Not entirely true...will work with 330i but not 325/328is.

Only 330i and 335i mufflers had the exhaust flap. 325/328 exhausts are tuned for quietness, not sound, so they dont have the flap.
