Melbourne Red G42 pics?

Has anyone seen any MR cars yet, hopefully an M240i perhaps. I guess all are launch colour at the moment, thus TM.

Looking forward to seeing Melbourne Red as well.

One of my pet peeves with red cars is the way the taillights kinda clash with the paint. But the G42s taillights are much darker/blacked out in some parts.

Should look amazing!!

Interested here as well. Limited colour selection means MR is certainly in play. I think the Mineral White on the 220i in the launch pics looks very good as well.

Honestly, I wasn't all that impressed with the MR color on my M4CS. It looked good under certain lighting conditions (like in my pic), but it wasn't consistently red enough for my liking and would appear washed out or too orange. Imola Red would be more to my liking. I'm really debating Thundernight Purple, but don't know if it's too feminine.

I like Thundernight, most showed pics to like it as well. Nobody said looks feminine. Really has a techno vibe to it. A darker purple. I would get a black interior though. No oyster or whatever.

See, I would like thunder over oyster. I like my interiors not to be all black

Agree, there are other, and better reds, just that MR is of course a 'free' option.

Purple to me is always leans female... Surprised so many folks are ordering it.

I wish for a real Red or a Darker Red so in lieu of ordered Blue

For my tastes the purple multiplies what I view as heavy over styling on the M Sport.

Yea, I'm not overly thrilled with the color choices, even though the G42 wears them all well. Thundernight looks amazing and is definitely a special color, just not sure if it's for me.

The other options are ok, pretty standard. Would most likely go BSM if I was ordering today, but would be very tempted by TM.

Here's hoping the M2 has more special paint colors. Isn't that typically the case with M cars?

Just looked at the 4 series and it gets 13 color choices compared to the 2 series 7 and a lot of them are much much better.

Long Beach Blue like my M2 was or Snapper Rocks as my 440i Xdrive is now. I would pay more for a better color palate via BMW. Very weak choices for us to assess.

agree guys, color choices for new 2 Series are very limited

there are 2 whites & blacks; urgh.. I'm sick of seeing zillions of white & black vehicles everywhere

then 4 actual color choices; Reddish/Orange (Melbourne Red), Brooklyn Gray, Portimao Blue and the new Purple with a fancy name. and fyi.. you can't order the blue without M Sports option on 230i. BMW 3 & 4 series have over 10 colors I think

I wonder why BMW is typical banning silver on all its cars? I had the impression that titan silver (or other variants) was a dominant colour, while still offered.

Agreed. My favourite colour and almost non existent in the range now. Must cost more?
