Got my single pipe non-resonated installed today with stock cats and stock axel back. Cold start is a prettt big difference. Much louder. At idle, once things warm up it’s composed and a tad deeper. You can tell something is different. Around town or on highway, no drone and again very composed, just a little more lively. Put your foot down and smiles all day! Once you open it up, it’s clear how the car should have come from the factory. I notice more the valves being dynamic, however. I think a controller will be the perfect compliment.

I’ll upload some sound clips soon.

Negative. No CEL on my side and haven’t heard of that happening.

CEL is only triggered when you upgrade the downpipe. No midpipe will trigger the CEL (on US cars, OPF Euro cars are different)

Still very happy with my single AA pipe after a few months. Give mike@x-ph.com your money.

Agreed! EL personally for the more aggressive tone but one cannot go wrong either way. +1 for Mike.

Personally I like the more aggressive tone and volume of the EL but others like the smoother tone of the single. All comes down to personal taste.

Any rasp or drone with the EQ whether minimal or not?

No drone on stock axleback. I'd say the EL has a slight bit more rasp than the single where the single is a tad deeper.

+1

the single offers the cleanest and deepest mid-range tone, in my opinion

The equal length is more aggressive on high RPM. It's a more aggressive high RPM roar but also comes with some rasp.
