2024 M240i xDrive Piggyback w/ Warranty

Does anyone know of any dealers in Jersey that are open to installing piggybacks/willing to retain warranty coverage?

I’ve been itching to get either the dinatronics x or dahler piggyback tunes, but haven’t pulled the trigger because of warrant concerns.

A piggyback (nor a tune) in itself does not void a warranty. However, if you bring your car in for (warranty) repair and they deem the issues was caused by the piggyback, the repair would not be covered under warranty (they would still do the repair but you would have to pay for it).

To you other question, will a BMW dealership install your piggyback...good luck with that, and why would you want them to?

it will void warranty... if you want to claim warranty...
you have to proof bmw that issue does not come from the piggy back box
and this will be nearly impossible...

Yep, find a dealer that installs Dinan.

Dinan has a special relationship with BMW.

If something happens with the engine with a Dina tune; BMW and Dinan will sort that out.

Don't know if this is standard language or not (or if no longer applies since it's not Steve Dinan owned Dinan).

That relationship ended many years ago.

You can get a warranty with the Carbahn system. Though you have to pay for the warranty. Last time I looked it was $1000 just for the warranty.

I believe it’s for 4 years.

Sounds like Carbahn it is! Called a shop that does those earlier today, they said the warranty is around 750 and matches the factory warranty.

Bit more expensive but I don’t mind if it means peace of mind.

Thanks u everyone for the responses, really appreciate it!
