What I did today is talk to a BMW product engineer for over an hour on a conf call and he probably hates me now. At least he knows that we really want to be able to save our base drive set-ups without using the M-buttons, and also that we want assignable Instrument displays, and displays that don't use a toothpick for a tachometer.

Was he actually listening? Probably not, but it felt good.

Nice. I provided my opinion on the removal of the climate control "rules" from iDrive 7 (I hate the Automatic program), as well as removal of buttons for things like heated seats. It now takes two steps to turn on/off the seats (and my eyes off the road) instead of just one with a button. Plus you can hit the button without taking your eyes off the road.

Jeep removed all the climate buttons in the Grand Cherokee for a year or so, and then brought them all back, likely due to owner complaints.

Eisenmann axle back installed! It’s a thing of beauty! Paired up perfectly with my AA EL! Sounds glorious! Now I just need to figure out how to post videos!

Looking forward to your take on it and once you figure out your vid situation. Teetering if my AA EL needs an AB upgrade 😁
And you mentioned this was all oem controlled valves no separate remote etc? Any chance you weighed it vs oem? Looks like it would be a good deal lighter.

Love it thus far! No drone and it retains the OEM valve controls. Didn’t weigh it but it’s at least half the weight of the OEM muffler. I’d guess somewhere in the 25lb range in comparison to 45lbs or so for the OEM. Just based on my lifting it around.

Awesome on controls and even more so on the weight. What about volume / tone? I found the AA EL increase the volume and made the tone significantly more aggressive with the oem ab and decel especially violent. How would you describe it after?

Just louder and more aggressive sounding with the valves open. It sounds like in comfort it has more tone as well since the muffler section is much smaller. I posted a link to a YouTube short I made real quick over in the Eisenmann thread in the exhaust section.

Continued installing the mods Santa left under the tree. MHC+ BMW V Style Rear Spoiler from R44. The car looks naked without the lip spoiler but a taller ducktail would look quite good. But no more mods for the back of the car… for now. LOL!

Anyone else getting creative with the OEM rear lip as a painted front “spoiler”? (See last picture)

Put a down payment on it.

Came with port installed CF inlets and rear diffuser. Still ehhh about the color (but like it above other options). Styling in person is so so much better than pics, I’m beyond “not minding it” or “growing used to it”, I genuinely like it.

Threw on the Mishimoto skid plate then washed and waxed the 135i since it was feeling left out.

Finally did the remote software update lol. Shorter than advertised. Found it interesting an audible high pitched beep/hum was heard externally during the duration.
