Single Exit Titanium valveless system in development

What's up everyone, so I got with John Lin over at Top Speed Pro 1 who has my M240i currently for development of a single exit titanium exhaust like the one for the A90 supra. This one will exit straight out the rear, should be well under 20lbs total and he said should still be able to be kept under $2K total. He's hoping to be closer to supra pricing of 1600-1700 but we will see. Prototype will be finished this week and I'll get pics and video done. They're also already done with a G87 M2 prototype so a new titanium exhaust for that is coming as well but I didn't dive into much about pricing specs etc.

The G42 Exhaust will be 3.5" diameter, and fit up to factory downpipe or aftermarket that mates up to factory stock exhaust. The way they did the supra system was left the inlet for the downpipe open to 3.5" so you can swell the larger downpipes to fit and have a complete 3.5" exhaust with no restrictions, or the provided clamp will bring it down to the factory downpipe and seal without an issue. I've seen the exhaust mounted on the supra with the same exact fitting and it worked perfectly and sealed with no soot or anything showing after a couple months of use on a catless system. He's looking to gauge interest and obviously we will have to be patient while the jig gets set up from the prototype and can start production but I believe he said first run would probably be 5 exhausts and then doing 10 in the second run. Then build will be based on demand. So let me know if yall are interest. I did some amateur editing on our car of a single exit..... it's very rough so don't flame me too hard hahahahhaha. Also titanium is single wall tip so it won't stick out as much like this stainless tip. Prototype pics and video coming this weekend.

Im not a fan of single-exit exhausts, but I know there is a demand for it. Good luck

Very funny.

I am always a "to each his own" kind-of guy, especially when it comes to expressing one's self with a car. But this is a hard no. Why on Earth would anyone do this? Looks shite if I ever saw shite. Can only imagine the sound...

Instead of a single exit exhaust which looks odd without a real rendering, why not do a 2-1 downpipe, to a single midpipe, to a single entry axel back exhaust can with dual exits, to a quad tip exhaust? I’m sure this setup would sound very clean, mellow down low, and growl up top in the rpm range.

Doubt it would be a race performance type of system...better ways to shed weight.

No matter what you do with titanium, it will not give you growl. It naturally gives a tinny/pingy sound. You need stainless for a growl.

It's an Asian car market thing; the single exit exhaust is the hottest product on the market for the newer supra. Also big in the Subaru world.

I dont get it either, but lots of people want it

Mike - are you going to be carrying the new M.A.D. G87 axle-back exhaust? I think it's being released this July (?)

I totally get it for the nostalgic supra but I don't think it will carry over to the 2 series unfortunately.

Nice,
Any links to them ?
i prefer single exit , since it weighs less compared to dual exit
i prefer function over aesthetics, but that's just me.
