Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they don't work for my VIN. I'm pretty sure, thanks to DSTR, that my car is on a Wallenius Wilhlemsen boat but YMMV.

I guess all dealers are different but I called my dealer last Sunday and, whilst my sales guy was not working, the in house BMW Genius provided the VIN based on the build number.

I have my car’s VIN! MyBMW & the Driver’s Guide both work fine, but I’m none the wiser about when it’ll be on a boat - it’s now at 165 though. Still expected w/c 19/6, still not on the technical campaign list any more.

Great news. One step nearer to ownership. The only shipment I can see at https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules that might work to your dates appears to leave on 9th May but it's nothing more than a guess.

What ports are you inputting to see that please? I’m not getting that date…

What about other shipping lines, they do use others don’t they?

I search for Mexico to Bremerhaven. There appears to be a ship leaving on 9th May from Veracruz but it is a long shot.

My car is on the water and on route however it’s got the wrong interior, I spec’d black exclusive highlights and it’s got the black and blue stich same as tbe m240, apparently it was an error caused by the configurator pulling the wrong details through and now it states error when logging in.

I’m adamant I wanted the exclusive highlights because it’s specific to this particular model instead I’ve got the interior out the m240.

No one seems to want to do anything about it.

That’s very annoying and if it’s really going to bug you, you shouldn’t settle for it. Your dealer should be trying to rectify it by ordering you another one.

Oh what an absolute bummer id be pissed - yearh the highlights is a more special look ( I have the 240i with the blue stitch I’d you want any close up shots )
What are you going to do ? You would of thought they should of corrected their error rather than just shipping regardless wrong spec

managerxxx have you looked at the dealer’s screen Distribution tab like Giggsy’s? Does it show your ship name, and the technical campaign? I’ll go & see my guy tomorrow.

Also the other two “HOLDS” - the bottom one seems to be the one stopping us getting cars before they officially launch in the UK, but what do you reckon the middle one is?

No, I've not seen that screen before but I learned today that my car ll NOT at sea and is in transit to the ship! :-( I was also quoted a date of 11th June whereas BMW Genius still say 5th June. I'm hoping one is week ending and the other is week commencing! I've been told repeatedly that UK dealers don't get access to the ship details - only that it's "At Port" or "At Sea".

That’s disappointing If it’s still on its way to port like mine is, maybe ours will be on the same boat! Bagsie top bunk.

I’ll drop in to Vines tomorrow (assuming they’re open) and see if that screen contains any more info.

Yeah I’m pissed off big time, the dealer is going to speak to bmw uk to see what can be done, apparently all there orders for the m2 are for the black with blue stich, he said he will call the other buyers incase it’s done the same because he can’t understand why you would choose the same interior as the m240 over the exclusive, the exclusive is specific to the m2 and makes it somewhat special, I also think the none exclusive interior will have a negative effect come sell/trade in time

He said they could order me another but it will be nxt year before it arrives and the price has gone up.

It’s a shame that it couldn’t be corrected afterwards by a leather seat expert as would just need to replace the shoulder panels in the M colours ? - as there it’s going to be hard to get to an ideal outcome waiting till next year ☹️ certainly not great and like you say the highlighted seats will be more desirable - I would imagine most orders will spec these between the two blacks

Have they broken the Driver’s Guide? Mine said I had to upgrade, now there’s nothing when you click on “pdf”.

I have thought about having the front seats trimmed and the dealer has gone back to bmw to see what they can offer or even a gesture of goodwill so I'll see what they have to say.

Like yourself i would have thought if your not having the carbon seats every buyer will opt for the exclusive, the dealer said 2 have opted for carbons and the remain orders have all spec'd the standard seats, there now concerned incase the config pulled the wrong interior and therefor will be contacting all buyers to confirm there interior spec.

Yep apparently you need the track pack to qualify to use the app now but the shortage of CF buckets is impacting this!!

Thanks, a delete & reinstall fixed it. The version on the link you posted a few pages back was X/22, now it’s II/23, wonder what’s changed?

Status hasn’t moved for 3 weeks and my dealer seems to know less that the online chat who said this “Your vehicle is on hold due to a recall for the Program control units (airbag control unit). We can only see the status of your vehicle, if your vehicle is delayed or is on hold is best to speak with the BMW Centre you placed the order with”

Delivery still showing as 19th June

Shame Giggsy That’s the same code as managerxxx’s car. Where are you seeing that screen though please, it doesn’t look like my version of the MyBMW app or the webpage?
