Emissions inspection in app

This popped up on my daughter's 240i, texted the SA but have yet to hear back. Anyone else got this? Car is a CA 2023 bought new in 05.2023, there's no smog requirement for 8 years.

Maybe it has something to do with living in California. I did not get this message here in Texas.
