EVEN MORE AGILE.
The M Performance chassis.

The agility and cornering dynamics of the BMW M2 can be further enhanced with the M Performance suspension. The recommended lowering here is ten millimeters. It would even be permissible to lower the front axle by 25 millimeters and the rear axle by 20 millimeters. Tuned to the M2 both on the racetrack and in road traffic, the M Performance suspension results in a noticeably more direct connection between the vehicle body and the road. The result: racing-inspired driving dynamics in everyday driving. With red coil springs and blue spring plates, the M Performance suspension also makes a visual statement.

I plan to stay stock and simply for the ride comfort. Plus I am not one to do mods.

I am more inclined to do this via Porsche.

The only factory BMW mod that I have ever personally had performed was when the M Performance SW update that was offered for port or center install.

You sure about that? I had them on a prior car I owned and fully modded. They were not the most comfortable.

On my S5, I have H&R Adjustable Lowering Springs. They are cheaper, do the same and the ride is much more comfortable. They are currently not showing any availability for the 2023 M2 but when I reached out, R&D said theybare hoping to have available by the time the car is on the streets in the US.

Understand what you're saying about Porsche. A move I probably should've made in the distant past and which doesn't look likely in my future.

Have you checked the M Performance site for what is currently available for the 2023 M2?

Agreed. They are currently overpriced, even older preowned units. A totally different experience from any BMW though.

I hope this is a mistake by BMW because that's literally the same PN as the HAS kit for the G80/2 which have different spring rates and damper setup compared to the G87.

It shows under the 2023 M2 but I do agree its odd cause in the details it states it increases the performance of the M3/M4 but also says fits the 2023 M2.

Exactly. Pricing and availability. Not a good situation. BMW is definitely my best 6 cyl. choice. Allowing myself to dream about a new to me Ferrari Roma but ...

Ditto, plus I don't want to have to worry about scraping the front bumper every-time I pull into my driveway. I would only lower a car if it were just a track car or I lived somewhere with better roads

I wouldn't be able to user the M2 effectively in the snow with any ride height below stock.

If you have a lowered car, you never enter or exit a steep ramp head on. Always come at it at a 45 angle with the corner of your bumper pointing towards it and your wheel turned so that the suspension flexes bringing your front end up. You'd be surprised how much clearance you get with that method. I almost never scrap anything and if I do scrap it's not the bumper but rather those plastic flaps farther back. Even then it's a light scrape and nothing to write home about. That said, if you come across a massive ramp, you'll have to avoid it. I get that can be a drawback for many, but not for me. The small adjustment and hassle are made up by the way the car handles better and looks awesome.

Yeah, I hear that. My driveway is a bit of a mess, it slopes down towards my garage pretty dramatically but the sidewalk is quite a bit taller than the road. So not only is approach angle hard but I also have to worry about bottoming out. Not worth it for me, especially when ride height isn't the first thing my eye is drawn to, though I know it is for some people.
