They've finally started working on USA configurator. Shouldn't be much longer.

If I had to guess they probably want it live prior to tomorrow’s unveiling at the Performance Center as this will be the first time it has been shown to the general public in the United States.

So they’re going to show the car with the regular seats tomorrow then right? Since they’ve decided to take away our option of carbons?

Kudos to BMW, they didn't charge for red calipers in the US market, when everywhere they, including Canada.
Where is the sunroof option and I'm guess Harman Kardon system is standard.. Good stuff.. It's pleasing to see them offer so many options on an M2 this time around and didn't just keep spartan as the predecessor.. |

Standard Roof: Steel 2 Variants: CF, and Steel w/ Sunroof I do wonder if the Steel w/ Sunroof would be a no cost option I'm getting the CF roof, it's a must have for me and for all the wrong reasons.

The bucket seats are interesting, I drove both M-seats and the buckets at the M-School Day @ Spartanburg. I'm a "small" guy, 5'9'" 145lbs, and I still find it rather difficult to get in/out of. Also, they didn't hold me in any more than the standard M-seats during the fast driving portion of the day.
for those who can do it, absolutely do the $2,500 M drivers package. The M-School Day alone is fun, you can beat up M-cars (and not your own...) most of the day and learn how to be a better driver on the road and on the track.

What does the carbon interior trim include? Does it make the paddle shifters carbon and the wheel insert, or just the dash trim/console trim?
Disappointing on buckets but I had already rationalized that I wouldn’t let this get above 68-69k, so was planning on standard seats. Carbon roof is a definite must have for me. |

If I was a little more cynical, I would say that the hefty cost for the carbon fiber roof option is subliminally scaling the overhead for vehicles with the standard sunroof option. More or less, they know they going to make a killing from the carbon fiber roof option, so they can afford to throw a bone to the peasants that didn't opt for it, by giving them a sunroof, gratis, a supposed $1,100 value. Anyways, this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.. 😗 |

1. Here is my order details.
2. Following the attached order guide, here are my order details: a. G87 M2 base MSRP $76,500; b. 2MA (Manual Transmission); c. Color U94 (Fire Orange) first choice, I have backup choice in case BMW Canada objects (estimate price point verbally quoted by sales rep $4,500 seems same as in 2008 for my E90 d. MAMM (Black Vernasca Leather w/ M Highlight) d. 40C (M Carbon roof); and e. Possibly ZM9 depending on details and pricing (Black Exterior Package) 3. Everything else including wheels standard. 4. I might go for 445 Pheonix Yellow instead of U94 Fire Orange if BMW Canada blocks my first choice. I am stoked! |
