Front plates
Anyone have any front tow hook plate bracket they would recommend for the new m240i. I don't want to drill holes in my front bumper and I can't get away with not having front plates here in Chicago. They ticket very quickly here. Thx

Following, also in the Chicago area and looking for a solution. I wonder if a G30 tow hook mount would work? Honestly if it comes down to it I'm just going to zip tie it to the lower grille until something is developed.
Are you going through Knauz for your order? Last edited by wobbly; 11-20-2021 at 07:10 PM.. |

Found one online.
https://www.cravenspeed.com/front-li...2020-bmw-230i/ There is also a video about it which looks solid to me. (I ordering my first BMW) Went to find some front 2022 230i pictures, it seems fit imo |

The issue is not the thread of the hook, it's to ensure it doesn't interfere with the front parking sensors. I'll have to wait until the manufacturer confirms it. Any case, I won't have my car until Jan/feb it looks like so by then they should have something confirmed. Thanks guys.

I didn't even consider that. I think one of the ones you can mount upside down would work (ex. US millworks) The sensor circled in red is likely the only one you'd need to be worried about, so the plate would need to hang upwards rather than downwards if that makes any sense. But you're right, there will probably be a solution by the time I pick mine up. Last edited by wobbly; 11-21-2021 at 03:14 AM.. |

That sucks because the information on the web page for the M240i seems to be updated to "According to our test fitting this kit fits 2017-2022 BMW M240i, including models with xDrive models." I guess they didn't really test it thoroughly.

You always have to be careful when new models/facelifts are released and check that the vendor is actually referring to the new one and not incorrectly labeling old one. |
