anyone get a quote on PPF yet for the M2?

I called a few places and no one has done one yet and they are claiming that there isn’t a template for the bumper shape yet. They want to charge me extra for this because it’s “new” for them. Any quotes or installed ppf costs yet?

They're going to charge you more money because it means they have to entirely hand-cut the film. Therefore, more labor time and higher rates of error. My car isn't here yet, so I don't have an experience to share, but I will when I do.

Also the trunk lip, door handles, and gas door.

Shopping around for quotes right now as well. Do you mind sharing ballpark how much the track package was? Assuming it includes tints and ceramic coating?

The "track pack" using xpel ultimate plus 10mm film is 3030.67. Plus I'm getting xpel fusion plus ceramic coating for 889.99 and xpel prime xr window tint all around for 465.00 for a total of 4648.79 with 6% tax.

Track pack includes: Full hood, fenders, bumpers, headlights, lower rockers, rear impact area, door cups, mirrors, edge guards, door sills. (Wrapped edges where applicable).

My local XPEL installer quoted me $1500 for full front bumper/headlights/partial hood/partial fenders/mirrors. If I wanted full hood/fenders he said it would be $2500. Hope that helps!

Partial hood and fenders is called a "bikini" and not recommended. I don't recommend that. Go with the full hood and fenders. $2,500 for the full front clip isnt bad but its a touch on the high side (should be closer to $2,250).

Does anyone know why some M2 has 4 and some 6 ultrasonic sensors on the rear bumper?

I saw on some the left and right side of the bumper has sensors and some don't.

Haven't noticed that but if indeed true it's most likely the parking assist.

Yes it is. I just configured on the BMW site. If you select parking assistance, you get 2 more sensor on the rear of the bumper. thanks!

Didn't even think about parking assist since I'm getting a manual. Used it once on my automatic M240i and it freaked me out. Lol. Not a feature I'll miss.

I got park assist, even though I drive manual. It's got some handy perks, like being able to unpark itself by retracing its path. And I'll be honest, as I get older, the allure of parallel parking diminishes.

It finds available spaces (can be used for parallel or perpendicular parking), and when you accept one, can auto park in that space. It remembers the path you took for the last 50 yards, so it can unpark by following the same path in reverse.

It's not always useful, but as you said, it's a super cheap option. If nothing else it makes it easier to resell later.

Unfortunately, Park Assist PLUS (which adds the 360 camera) is not available this year on the M2.

That's a bold move with ZB. Going to avoid any judgement without seeing it in person.
