Quick update on the car after 3 weeks of ownership, and some things I dislike about the car that might help you when you go to put in your order.

How bout just letting us know what you hate thatbwe should know before putting in our order instead of losing 8+ minutes of my life on your mods.

As to the spoiler, if you had reads the threads here you would have known of the fitment issue. It is sized like that to follow the body lines but yes, it does look unfinished or sized for a smaller car.

Oh, and that window tint down here in South Florida is asking to be met with law enforcement with guns drawn....

Do those tints not affect your night driving drastically? They look nice but seem like a nightmare, I have a lot of back country roads where I am with no lighting, I don't think I could last a mile.

Surprisingly, since it’s ceramic tint it’s really not that bad looking out from the inside of the car.

This also isn’t my daily driver so I was comfortable going a little bit darker.

On my G80 I have 15% up front and then 5% in the back.

I was apprehensive about doing the windshield but it’s not bad either, and removes a lot of the glare.

You act like I forced you to watch the video lol.

Sorry the hours of time I put into making a 8 minute video didn’t meet your expectations and you would have rather me just taken two minute to post it here.

I’m not some big YouTuber that makes money off of this. It’s a hobby.

Next time, do yourself a favor and just don’t watch it.

Pretty simple, Rob.

Even in a perfect world, people will still have different opinions and that’s completely okay and expected.

Regardless, I appreciate you taking a few minutes out of your day to watch the video and come back here and leave a comment!

Thanks buddy 😎

I think I would personally prefer to have physical controls but once you get used to it, it’s not a big deal.

I don't get all the hate; whatever he's installed that I wouldn't on my car I just looked past. I agree with him that the G87 not having 3D cameras sucks. I use that feature on my daily all the time, that's how I avoid curbing my wheels. I look forward to seeing how the rear looks once he deletes the reflectors.

Pretty cool, it does make the car look so much better.

What percentages have you got on the M2?

Man I appreciate you Tag!

I completely agree. At least a front facing camera so you don’t have to worry about smashing your front lip when you park.

Is it necessary? Not at all. But it’s 2023 and these are the things I’ve come to expect when purchasing a new car, let alone a BMW.

Pretty simple, Rob.

You started the thread. Yes, it is pretty simple...if you want people to know something, just come out and say it and not have to have people interpret YOUR build. After watching, I still dont know what issues you wanted people to consider (that can be ordered/modifiedby the order with BMW)...or was it just stating facts of what you dont like that cannot be changed bybthe order.

Yes, I agree that it should have a 360 degree camera like the M240.

OP, how is the auto transmission in terms of driver engagement ? Do you have any regrets not getting the 6sp?

100% Agree that the lack of 360 camera is a bummer. The only things that will tempt me into trading my '23 G87 in for an LCI refresh will be 360 cameras (and a deep blue metallic paint color ).

Also, I'm with Tag. OP is allowed to like what they like. Sheesh.

Great question. Before I bought my G80 (which is auto) I had the opportunity to drive a manual G80 and I wasn’t a big fan. Like a lot of people say, it felt too rubbery. I was coming from a Gen 5 viper, and it just didn’t fit what I was expecting in terms of a manual.

I heard some similar things about the M2 manual and was okay with going auto. I also didn’t spec this car myself it was an HEA car so didn’t have an option.

Tuxon_Speed The only thing I didn't understand in the video was the bit about adaptive cruise control. What did you not like about it? (Just curious, since I drive manual it wasn't an option.)

You’re right I should have been more clear about that. Basically, I wouldn’t have optioned it. By itself it’s not worth it IMO. If they add the option to add the full drive assistant package then I would go that route. I have it on my G80 and it’s amazing. I use it way more than I thought I would.
