Hi everyone

I recently removed and reinstalled my front bumper ('22 230i) to blackout the grille and install the oem splitter. I'm almost 100% sure I reattached all the sensor connections, but now I get a 'Restraint System' error.

I did forget the R sonar connection midway and got an error but corrected this. Is it possible I just glitched the system and need an ECU reset? If so what's the best method? is it safe to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU?

Any advice is appreciated!

if you had the ignition on when conectors were not pluggen you need to clear the error memory... does not clear itself

Hey thanks for the reply. The parking sensor error that popped up cleared when I reattached the sonar harness. But this new restraint error popped up after everything was closed up.

I think I need to go back in and recheck all the connections but wondered if an ECU reset first might be worth doing
