Just received maxton side skirt and rear diffuser and I am pretty dissatisfied with the quality of the products. I lightly rubbed a rear diffuser and it already made a slight swirl scratches lol

Thanks for sharing your experience with them, I think we'd all like more details, can you snap some pics?

Gloss black plastic anything scratches very easily.
But you should be able to polish it up and return it to a good shine until you touch them again

Spoiler installed, so far so good. Seems great for the price, I’m really happy with the quality, fit, and finish.

Next up: front splitter. That one may have to wait until next weekend, as it’s a more involved install.

Successfully test fitted the splitter this afternoon. I was gonna install it, but unfortunately I discovered that my trusty daytona jack will not clear the front bumper once the splitter is installed (it has very little clearance as-is, and my car does not have HAS). Also, my quickjack 5000 is too short for the G87 lift points . So I'll have to find a friend who will let me borrow some ramps to install it.

Anyways, the splitter fitment looks pretty great. It seems to match the curves of the underside of the bumper pretty well, and it seems pretty flush with the ends of the bumper. The finish looks weird in the pics because I have not yet removed the plastic cover. The splitter material is plastic, but very sturdy.

Sorry for all the pics, I thought it woudl be helpful to anyone considering this brand of product. Once the splitter is installed, I'll make a new thread and post my detailed thoughts on these products.

The sticker came right off. I just peeled it with my fingernail and just cleaned off the glue residue, which was very little. Honestly, it came off so easily that I think it would have probably fallen off by itself on a hot day.

Lip is the V2 (same as V1 but without the winglets at the side: https://maxtondesignusa.net/collecti...v-2-bmw-m2-g87)

Thanks to you guys for testing!

Seems the better options for the price and for lowered cars, without risking to scratch a 1k lip…

Would it look right mixing and matching gloss black and carbon fiber parts ? Not sure how I feel but having 2nd thoughts on a $1500 CF front lip and $1500 CF side skirts when I can get these for $250. However I would like CF mirror caps and CF rear trunk lip spoiler since they are far from the ground

On my lowered Subarus, it took me 2 broken CF lips before I started just buying the cheap ones.

I see no issue with this. Actually considering the same...

I have a carbon spoiler and carbon Valvetronic exhaust tips. I’d rather keep everything carbon, but I can’t justify the price of a carbon front lip, especially if it gets shattered. I might go hybrid carbon/gloss black route as well. Would look good on my Brooklyn Grey spec which already has some gloss black

I will actually do the same…
- Maxton front lip and side skirts
- CF trunk lip and diffusor (CT carbon)

I’m leaning towards this as well. I have the MHC on order for $1500 but it’s on back order. I think I will cancel order, and get the Maxton front lip and side skirts and still save $1000 and when a $250 lip scrapes my driveway pulling in and out, no worries.

Installed rear diffuser. Fitment is not perfect. There are noticeable gaps in the middle. Has anybody installed rear diffuse as well? If so, how did you secure the bottom of the diffuser? There are two long screws attached in the back and I don’t know what to do with them. I don’t know why image is in side ways..

How much is the ground clearance in the front with the frontlip? And how much was it before? I am interested in how much the lip lowers the front.

Do you have any pictures with the installation. I ordered the splitter but became hesitant to install it after realizing that I would have to drill into the front bumper in contrast to the MHC but not sure I want to spend that much for this cosmetic option.
Thanks

Any pictures of the final install? I have a V2 on order. Curious about final fitment and quality after install.
