IND gloss black grille emblem.

Received this today. Quality is very good. Packaging was over the top, so that's good. Will swap the oem when I get home in a couple weeks.

It is very pricey, and can be had much cheaper from AutoID. I had a store credit with IND so it ended up being about the same price for me.

I am probably going to see if I can put a little ppf on it. For expensive as it is for a tiny emblem, if it gets chipped I'm gonna be ticked.

I like what you've done with your nails, JABCAT. Going to order the Auto ID one per your suggestion

Thanks! Lol. My wife always opens the pkgs and sends me pics when I'm away from home so I know if it's the correct part, undamaged, etc.

First, what IND is selling is badge and base. AUTOID is just selling the badge.

As to AUTOID's...they are again, sold out.

Do you need the base? Or is it just a choice on how much you take off to replace?

IND is $139.95 plus tax & shipping. Came to $163.

AutoID is $83 plus shipping, I would assume is the entire emblem which includes the lettering & the base. It comes as one if you order the oem part.

The "M2" is attached to the base with double-sided tape on the back of the letters. The base is attached to the grille with double-sided tape on the back, and the two prongs fit into two holes in the grille. It come's as one piece.

Base is black already, not needed imo. Use a trim tool and get in there from the corners. A little heat will help too.

I wasn't too happy with no 3M on the skinny pieces and in some areas the 3M sticks out more than the emblem. I used a razor and fine tuned it a bit. Word of caution, don't heat the new one too much, it will be too elastic and not stay true to it's form. Let it cool a bit and it will go back to it's correct shape.

I bought the one from AUTOID, it does not include the base (I can post pictures a littlelater). If you read the descriptions on both websites you will see one includes the base and one doesn't.

Interesting. The oem part with base is $45. So AutoID is charging $83 for painting the two letters & scrapping the base & IND us charging $100 to paint the two letters & stick them back in the base.

I haven't installed it yet. Just ordered a new front grille & will install it in that when it arrives. I'll post pics after I install both.
