Wow throttle house is initially really not happy with the power delivery but then later note that the Auto fixes it and that the original complaint only applies to the 6MT..?

So according to Throttle House the new base M2 feels slow and laggy until it picks up those turbos. It seems they didn't expect these feelings from this car with a detuned s58 under the hood... 😳

I am watching the BMWBLOG video. It is extremely informative with many details generally not revealed during the shorter videos.

After watching a couple of these, I'm so so happy that I've got the manual F87CS

I know the previous DCT had lower torque limits than 6mt. So 6mt was quicker with more thrust. The Auto has rose a above all for torque limits hence they can throw the PSI at it. Faster.

Was something wrong with throttle house’s red m2? Lol. Because straight pipes seems to be having a lot of fun with their 6MT in their ZB M2 … and have yet to mention any negatives on the power delivery

The ZF auto wakes up the M2 like a bucket of ice water to the scrotum. Funny but disappointing for manual purists.

Who's surprised? Dude crapped on it for being more capable. And they both hate on BMW styling constantly.

Watched a few videos.. doesn't seem like a home run at all. Oh well, still picking mine up next week and will judge for myself. I thank throttle house for keeping it real even though it's likely going to cost them future opportunities at BMW press events.

Car and Driver, enough said.
"Launch control should help the self-shifting M2 return an estimated 3.6-second 60-mph time, similar to the last automatic M2 CS we tested. Working the manual's precise yet somewhat rubbery shifter through its gates likely will cost a few tenths of a second, but we don't care. This transmission remains one of BMW's most potent treatments for driving boredom, and the M2's pedals are ideally spaced for the heel-and-toe dance."
