My thinking is to spend the 4500 bucks on seats then buy my wife a comfort seat

Right there with you!! For me it would be for my wife and my elderly mom. Neither of them would be able to get in and out of the buckets LOL. I will settle for the regular seats as I will be getting everything else I wanted...with some aftermarket goodies.

if you want a new one from the dealer, I would simply give the parts department a call to see what it would cost. I don't know if anyone is selling them on eBay or anything, though I have seen a flooded G87 parts car. Don't think you want one of those. I also imagine that the parts on eBay are also from flooded or totaled cars, so I wouldn't expect all of the functions to work.

Yeah I’m just a regular guy but my wife is a world traveler 5 star girl so sourcing her seat from a flood car would cause me big problems

arent they the same as G80/82 seats? you might need to change the little badge on it but figure there is way more of those on the secondary market

Exactly my thinking as I was driving home. She's planning to get her first car this fall (probably a cx50) so that'll be the go to for long trips. Otherwise it's bucketboyz. I got to sit in them again today and I feel good about having them long term. I'm 6'3 and currently drive a supra so I'm a little conditioned to stepping in with a slightly high arch to my leg. How'd you spec yours? Sorry if I missed it earlier today.

Have always liked the CX50! Mazda's red looks so awesome. Tried to get my wife to want it but she passed...oh well.
