My client’s status has recently moved in the past 2 or 3 hours. Hopefully they get on Grand Choice, otherwise I am going to lose this sale.

Question is, how far in advance, if at all, would the VIR show if a car made it on the ship? Could it be as late as day before or day of departure?

If you are at port then you should at least be at status 182. Per my experience it is not going to show that it is on the ship until it has departed port. The name of the ship is also disclosed at that time.

bmw genius says its "your vehicle is still currently waiting to be released for transport to the port of departure for vessel assignment"

my dealer says- no, shes watching it everyday its only a 2week boat ride, and theres no way it would go into September its a week or 2 away from being here at the dealership, and she does this all the time.

My suggestion is a remedial English class with emphasis on word spacing, capitalization, and proper use of the apostrophe. I hope that helps.

A word to the wise, I would take little stock in anything coming from the toll-free Genius as they do not have full access to the information that a CA does.

Always contact your client advisor for the most up-to-date and accurate information. I cannot stress that enough.
