Reminds me of the games when I was trying to purchase my '16 M2.

Well at least their management went back to honoring your original agreement but still pretty fucced up that they tried it with you and all these other members sharing similar stories. Some of these dealerships are on some real bullshit!

I feel like we're going to be hearing several more of these stories as the "new" customers come rolling in willing to pay over or get a quick car due to buzz, reviews, etc.

I know it is unknown but…

Does anyone think anymore allocations will trickle in this month? Being first on the list at my dealer, and them not receiving an allocation for an M2 but receiving two for an M3 CS is pretty annoying.

Different subject, anyone ever owned a 2020+ ZL1? I’m thinking that it will be my backup plan.

Canada will get allocations next, then EMEA, and back to US. Production is ramping up and you should see more allocations shortly in the next 3-5 weeks.

As for the ZL1... I've had both a ZL1 and an LE.

Wonderful GT car. Mag ride is delightful and very compliant. Just got boring. So I went full LE. I'm only 34 (31 at the time) and my back got ruined, no mag-ride in the LE and it's stiff. But way more fun.

Wait for the G87, or scoop a base m3 g80 ( lots of used manual base M3's that can be sent to the states)

Thanks for the response! I just can’t believe I’m first and have been waiting for a year etc and still no allocation.

You really have only been waiting a couple or few weeks as no customizable allocations were out prior to then. The year wait was your choice to get on the list which if you wanted to be tops in line, you had no options.

I get what you are saying, but you know what I’m saying lol. Obviously I’ve been waiting 3 weeks. I’ve been waiting for a new G87 since I got on line 😅

Understand 100%....only difference in the two timeframes is one comes with the show. The other is worse cause now its a real time wait and anticipation (and the next wait times which will add to the feelings is after allocation until build date and then start of build till delivery).

I think in another thread T_U_D or one of the dealer employees mentioned middle of the month as a reasonable expectation.

Honestly though your time will come. I remember your posts from two weeks ago about how you will turn down HEA's for YOUR car. Keep the faith brother.

Trust me, you are not alone. I was the same when going through the process for the M240 last year (and knowing the process doesn't make it any easier this time lol).

Scum of the earth. Roast them, and feed them to the forum.

Always a big advocate for casting a wide net message 3-4 and find out if they want your order. While one team may be asking 20k+ or say they have someone offering. It isn't a deal until that car rolls over the curb.

This past Feb was the worst month for BMW in almost a decade for new and used sales. Lots of places want your business.

Good lesson learned - will cast a wider net next time; Almost 2 years of commitment from my end & ADM was mentioned right before order confirmation. I, in good faith, tried to negotiate it down (not off) but there was zero wiggle room. HEAs maybe.. We are in our bubble on the forum but I'd be interested to know the % of MSRP deals on the 159 allocations. I bet it is a slim, slim minority...

Never too late, make some calls. Heck someone might even have a HEA that's close enough.. If you're paying cash offer up a very large deposit ( refundable) but giving them $1k and signing an offer doesn't mean as much as someone who sent them 30+k. Find the dealerships pain points and how you can help them as a customer.

I'm getting 2% off, but that's what I always get. We usually buy 4-6 cars a year between my immediate family.

I had signed cost agreements that covered all the way OTD with each change made to custom order, or eventually when I went with the HEA vehicle. My CA mandated it each time...I can't imagine why each CA wouldn't do this as it covers both parties. If demand goes down from crappy reviews, or recession or whatever, they're covered. If it goes up, I'm covered. It's a clear way to split needs down the middle.

2% on first allocation or HEA? I put in a non-refundable, large deposit so fortunately and unfortunately, I'm committed to this dealer.

Either or. The HEA's at my local store are Red/Blue. I want black, so I'll wait for my allocation.

At least here in Ontario a deposit is 100% refundable if any parameters of the deal changed. If they are now saying 20+ or no first spot, you can demand to be refunded. They will hold their breath and cry the blues, but they very clearly and specifically stated MSRP. You now have info that implies otherwise. No way they'd ride 1k into small claims.

If a dealership makes their living off hold deposits, you're at the wrong place.

Gotcha - I think he was trying to say I'm getting a "deal" at 5k over for the first allocation, as opposed to the pending 20k he has in "offers". I use quotes because how am I supposed to verify that? Anyway, that's good to know...will cross my fingers and pray to the M gods

Just placed an order for an M2, salesman predicts it to come around August and to receive it at the same time as the other 4 people in front of the list since they get delivered « by pool »

Offer to split the difference if he really has someone willing to sign at $20k over. Call it a $7,500 referral fee

In all seriousness the entire car buying process has gotten out of line recently.
