This has been said before, but DAMN does the G87 carry its weight well.
No need to be surprised. The G87 performs pretty much exactly the same as a G82, which is to be expected based on how many parts are shared. Even the F87 and Comp / CS perform extremely similarly to F82s.

Have you seen the dresses that women wore for the MOMA gala? It is all about being polarizing and provocative.

You may not agree with BMW's desire to be provocative. But that is what they are going for. In that sense, they hit it out of the ball park.

Get used to it. There will be a lot more to come from top brands. Bland is out. Provocative is in.
Haha I’m not a fan of those gala dresses haha

Enough already people.

Geeeezzzz

If you don't like the looks .... whoopdi do! Congratulations. Pat yourself on the back. Embrace your own self-brilliance. You are AMAZING! Really super duper extra specially insightful. Clearly much smarter than me. Perhaps you can move over to the 2023 Subaru WRX forum and bloviate to your heart's content there.

.....but I've got a secret ..... the rest of us don't care.

Let's move on. This discussion is getting STALE!

Same for cars. If a heinous car drives like a dream and makes your pulse pound faster, then the sight of that car will bring about a positive emotional response.

In the case of your E63 M6, you love how it sounds and drives. I think it's ugly, but since I haven't had a positive visceral experience with the car, I can't appreciate it and can only judge on how it looks. I think the F13 is a much better looking M6, especially with the with the rear and improved headlights. Maybe if I drove them back to back that opinion might change.
Understood. Like I said, I’m just one of many who are pissed off that bmw chose to make their last “short” wheelbase drivers car look like that not to mention weigh just about the same as a similar equipped m4.

As for the f13, it’s gorgeous better looking but the e63 literally weighs 400 lbs less and has a v10 that is produces eargasms.

If the tiny fraction on the track from the weight means that much, the C7/8 Z06 is probably the better option.
The big difference is in the physical size. The M2 is a smaller package. The M2 is for people who couldn't care less about x-drive, or "low quality" leather, blah blah blah. Who needs driver assistance in a compact anyways?

The G80 M3/M4 is best seller. It is breaking records in sales. If the majority of the people hate it, who is buying them? Outside of the F87/F80 owners and trolls, the majority of the public like it. Enough of the 20-year-old bland BMW design, the public has spoken.

Some have argued that previous F87 should have current gear displayed, my argument was that it should be natural (hence like walking and no one needs to tell you what is the next foot you need to use) and I absolutely had no need for it in many years…
The problem with this argument is that it assumes everyone can get to that level of shifting zen. Even with effort, a lot of people never get the knack. Or they don't have the time. Or they need to share their car with a kid or spouse who can't be bothered.

We don't want to exclude our fellow enthusiasts who, for whatever reason, can't be "one with the manual." I want more people in this hobby, not less.

There will be future articles saying how the new M2C or m2cs will outperform this as well ….
If it rains it will be wet, good forecast there.

PS. I read Camisas report, and he is probably so far only guy who did not give the new M2 such glowing review and preferred previous gen car. Of course it was not posted on front page.

It’s going to be a great car!
F or G, enjoy them all. They all have their characteristics, and both are great in their own ways!

He's not the only guy. Throttle House, and SavageGeese, and also a few other influences.

You can have facts about the NUMBER of opinions. It’s called polling. Do you not understand? This can quantitatively be tested. For EXAMPLE, in a polling sample of 10,000 people (we use samples in scientific research due to practicality), 8,000 thought the m2 looked like ass, 1,000 were neutral while 1,000 were positive. If i were to run a statistical analysis, I guarantee you that the conclusion would be a majority of people think the new m2 looks like ass (even in an m2 thread lol). Now go back to science class and at least get a passing grade ‍♂️

You can say a lot about the Mt, slower, not the best this or that...but there is no way the ZF is more fun.

When my car was on the lift the first day I got it I was looking at fuel line capacity addition. We thought I could squeeze a gallon underneath with a custom line and fabrication, but it's not enough, nor worth the price of the job. There's no good place to add a bladder or tank addition.

I’ll sum it up like this:

True perhaps if the manual was from the Supra

Anyway, looking forward to my eventual migration to a Toronto red G87. Car looks solid in these pictures, and the performance can’t really be argued. Just need to run my F87 into the ground first.

This is a forum. A forum where opinions are given. If you don’t like it, tough. I’m clearly not the only one that feels bmw dropped the ball here.

Btw, are you the Bimmerpost Forums King or do you have a mouse in your pocket? Your use of the word “we” tends me to believe the latter. Good bye 🧌

Shame on Porsche for designing cars that aren’t being roasted online on a daily basis. Poor design, lads.
