Been back to the dealers today and my car was in the showroom.

For those that haven’t seen the car yet, the wait will be worth it, in the flesh it really stands out.

I wasn’t best pleased that someone had marked the drivers door pocket with there shoes either getting in or out so that needs sorting, I asked them nicely not to let anyone sit in, what is officially my car now.

it deffo needs some wheel spacers, i already have a set 15fr and 12rr so should fill the arches out more, dealer also had the full performance kit that was intended to be fitted to this m2 and they have asked if I'm interested in a deal.

Theres no grill on the rad like there is on some other G87 cars so not sure thats because of the adaptive censor.

Do you think the car needs lowering? From your picture it seems like the front is higher than the rear... It could be just the optics of how you've taken the picture perhaps.

I think it's crappy from the dealer to let other people into your car, I'd never stand for that. Why are they keeping it in the showroom for people to put hands on it and potentially let it get marked with faint scratches. If the UK launch is this weekend, how come you can't take delivery before end of the month or is that your preference?

I personally wouldn’t be happy with my car being in the showroom for people to sit in and rub against the paintwork etc - I’d be telling them to move it straight away - but I’m a bit particular lol

Looking good! Finally we see a customer car on our shores and not a demo! Did you have the airbag software recall on your car? Mine is still subject to a technical campaign and has disappeared off the face of the planet!

Likewise my car’s location is a mystery. Genius now saying my car still in Mexico but it’s also still due for delivery next week, despite other Genius operators saying the car is on the water- but their system not updated since 3 May.

Meanwhile, my dealer says there’s a weeks delay to w/c 26 June but he cannot confirm where my car is! Who knows!

I’m at 195, but mine’s the same, on its way but who knows where it is, and also due for delivery sometime next week!

There’s got to be a better way of keeping track of them, surely? BMW HQ must know where each car is, and it can’t be impossible for them to sort out the customer also logging in to see where. It’s a bit cr*p in this day & age, really.

Yep I had a similar moan to the manager of my dealership. This is a premium brand but a distinctly sub-premium customer experience. I've been at 195 since 1st June and the car was due last week. I get the feeling that my issue is related to the technical campaign but no-one can tell me what's going on.

I think it's pretty usual to be stuck at 165 for 6-8 weeks whilst the ship loads and sails from Mexico to Bremerhaven.

All I can say is that I was at 165 a lot longer than the average sea crossing from Mexico Europe.

No it changes to 195 when the car is en route between Bremerhaven and Southampton.

195 is in transit to port, or to dealer. So your car is either on a boat or on way to dealer

Indeed, but that could mean it’s still halfway across the Atlantic. This is the first time I’ve heard that 195 meant it’s left Bremerhaven to cross the Channel. And as it’s been 195 for 2 weeks, it must (well, may) be getting close to delivery at the dealer. Maybe.

Mines exactly halfway 😀

Was due to be delivered o Monday but genius said it’s dues 3rd July

I’ve been assured that mine doesn’t go to Bremerhaven and gets unloaded at Southampton and PDI’d on site at the dealership

Guess I’ll know next week
