Aftermarket TPMS Sensors

Has anyone installed or know which aftermarket TPMS sensors will work with the G87? I checked some BMW parts sites and it looks like the OEM part number is 36-10-6-877-937 and I found these on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D5MVRN1/

According to the listing it says they should work with that BMW part number.

Most aftermarket ones will require programing. If you have the programming tool, you are good to go.

I'm assuming it works similar to how it did in the F87. When you switch wheels/tires with different TPMS sensors, you just have to to do the reset/relearn function from within the tire settings. It was pretty trivial in the F87 (as long as the new TPMS were compatible.)

I'm assuming the ones on amazon will work but it would be nice to have confirmation since getting incompatible ones would be a massive pain the in the ass to replace.

Update to this topic, the TPMS sensors I linked did not end up working. I tried the relearning TPMS process in the idrive settings and it acts like it goes through the process but eventually hangs around 50% then fails.

One last update to this saga. I was able to get access to a high end TPMS sensor tool and resolve the issue. This is what I did.
  • First I tried to scan the sensors using the BMW M2 2023 option in the tool, it did not find them.
  • I then tried to do the same but with the Toyota Supra 2020 option because I remember in the reviews someone saying these worked fine for that car. It was able see all the sensors but one.
  • I used the tools reprogram feature to see if it could see the sensor that wasn't reading and it could. I then programmed it to the 2020 Supra option. I did this instead of trying to reprogram them all to the 2023 M2 option because of how the car behaved when I originally tried to program them. It would act like it was working but then hang and eventually fail. This behavior would make sense if it was able to see all of the sensors but the one that apparently wasn't programmed at all.
  • After reprogramming the one sensor I drove the car to do the relearn from iDrive and after about 2-3 miles, it finished the relearn and worked just fine.

So the TL/DR for this is: These sensors will work IF they are all programmed correctly as per the listing..

Same here. Picked up some pre-programmed G87 HUF TPMS sensors and had them installed in my new wheels. The new sensors connected immediately without issue.

These are the ones I bought. I would have ordered from Apex when I bought my wheels, but they were out of stock.

I just told him that it was for a 2024 G87. Recognized the new wheels immediately. Was pretty seamless.

Just to add to this thread, I was about to purchase a set of OEM TPMS from eBay and stumbled upon your post. I purchased the ones you linked from Amazon, and they worked immediately! Thank you for saving me a few hundred bucks

If you read the production description on this website they mention them being pre-programmed for plug-and-play...
