Has anyone installed this with their MST intake? I attempted today but could not get the turbo inlet to align with the MST intake pipe. The odd part is that the turbo inlet appears to only have one way of going in given the PCV hose that attaches to it is fixed/non-flexible. Did I maybe get the wrong intake pipe?

I tried using the intake pipe in both directions but no dice. In the below pics the pipes are not fitted nicely, they are kinda forced onto one another which doesn't seem correct. And no room to attach the air filter.

I had to reinstall all of the stock parts.

After watching a video on Kies channel, it looks like how I have it in the first image below is how it's expected to fit. They could have done a better job with fitment IMO. I'm going to give it a try again once the car cools down.

It's installed, fitment is just super snug and not what I was initially expecting. The sound is insane

Yeah install is a bit of a pain due to figuring out angles etc but oh man is the sound worth it.

I went through the same emotions lol. Thinking it’s not the right pipe, no way this will fit, then suddenly after swearing a bunch it all comes together.

Once it’s all together it’s a great intake just could use a few tweaks to make it an easier install. I think if they just made the cutout in the head shield larger it would solve the install difficulty “issue”

so this silicone inlet clamps on with the screw on oring clamp? i know others like dinan has the c clamp and is not silicone. how snug is it on the turbo and do you think the heat from the turbo will mess with the silicone inlet? i have to make a choice to go with mst or dinan when the 240 gets here in a month.

It connects to a plastic looking piece that leads to the turbo intake area, not the metal inlet to the turbo. I am pretty sure MST did their homework.

I will give a nod to Dinan as they utilize the factory attachment clip, but MST’s method is totally fine IMO.

I wouldn’t trust Dinans turbo inlet pipe as they had to issue a recall as the metal part that connects to the turbo was separating from the carbon fiber! Eek

I originally had a dinan inlet, back when they first came out. Didn’t keep it because my gut didn’t trust how they connection the metal to the carbon and sure enough a year later and people had issues with it and a recall issued.

Also people with big turbos mount a filter directly to the turbo with no issues. Silicone can handle the heat.

ok coool thanks for the info, i think the mst route is for me. i'll be running meth so will need to make a bong on the pipe for my meth nozzle. i do a staggered setup 1 before the turbo and 1 on the charge pipe.

No issues whatsoever besides maybe slightly worse fuel economy because of me wanting to make intake noise all the time.

Installed it, now a drive malfunction came on and I suppose it's a leak somewhere, when driving it does not want to build boost at 4k rpm and going 40-70 is where the issue is. For, the clamp from the mst inlet how tight and where is the best spot to place it.

I pushed it on as far as it would go and made sure the clamp was placed where it had a nice bite on the mounting point.

And for the smaller clamp of the three on the inlet connecting the pcv to the inlet, how far and tight does it have to be? I think that's my issue, as I did crack the oem inlet when installing, I know there's a replacement part # for that as well.

I’m not sure which you’re referring to.
For all connections I slid them on/together enough for the clamp to have some bite, and I did not overtorque the clamps.
