I would happily pay for individual paint that won’t add any functional value. Stick me on the poser list too!

Jose Casas actually answered a question about why there is no cutout behind the front wheel and his answer was that it wasn't needed. I guess they were happy with wind tunnel results already. He also said, if you can believe it: "we did not include anything on the car that didn't serve a purpose".
In that same interview he was also asked if the vents next to the headlights were functional, he responded by saying they were just for styling.

Myself and several others greatly desire individual paint. Individual paint offers exclusivity, a faux side vent does not.

Excellent point

One thing I disregarded from the outset was the design coherence. I have come to appreciate it - these headlight pieces included - they match the grill lines perfectly.

The rear vertical light panels reflect the front air dams, the M part side strakes all perfectly align, the rear diffuser shape corresponding to the front air dam, and the rear tail light downturn aligns directly to the vertical reflector/camera housing.

There's a lot of examples of this throughout the car so it actually exhibits a good bit of symmetry that most won't notice until detail inspection.

I don't care for them. IMO it should have dual headlights.

I didn't get why they had to mirror the front on the rear. Sure, carry over the design, but don't mirror it. Seems lazy to me. I don't like how the rear diffuser cuts into the bottom part of the bumper and am not a fan of how the reflectors sit inside those large vertical gloss black surrounds which they apparently made to integrate the PDC sensors. They just protrude out too much.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it and it's IMO leaps and bounds better looking than the G80/2. I'm still getting over the fact that with some modest changes it could have looked awesome. Certainly isn't enough to stop me from getting one.

I've been imagining ways to cut those rear reflectors out to allow high pressure air from the rear wheel. I'm sure some aftermarket solution will exist for this and other mods to that goofy 90deg diffuser/bumper integration you referred to.

Agree for the most part. A couple small tweaks could really do a lot. That's why I'm on the list waiting for the CS/CSL version as well. I suspect some really cool things will happen in the future, or maybe I'm just way too optimistic and end up tastefully modding this car.

I'm really hoping Acexxon comes out with something for the rear bumper reflectors that also replace the surround. If they ever develop it you can bet IND-Distribution will have a cosmetic packed that also includes their front bumper painted reflectors. I'd get that in a heartbeat.

Black is just old now. Shows no contrast. Kills the look of any car. I find nothing attractive about black wheels. Good at hiding any design detail lol. Well done lol.

It just isn’t a great looking wheel in either color IMO.I’m still hoping they add the 826M bicolor wheel at some point.Maybe for the LCI or if there is an M2 Competition.

Blue calipers look just fine with TR paint. The TR X4M on my lot now has blue calipers. It will be how I configure my M2.

I especially like the way the blue calipers will match the blue M highlight seats.
