An M2 owner posted the other day that his 12 yo son absolutely loves everything about it

My 7yo thinks it looks awful—but then again he has grown up exclusively being chauffeured in a 1M (our only car) so his tastes are possibly more tuned to 2011.

I'd take the front lip, suspension kit and wheels. The rest of the stuff is a bit too much for my taste, but I can appreciate people who want to go for the full super aggressive look.

the one thing i would like to see is the rear wing on a otherwise stock g87. maybe even painted to match body color. could look good - somewhat reminiscent of the e36 m3 lightweight

It's pretty obvious... secret hanger with DJs, etc.... and being honest in that there is no problem with that if that's who they are targeting.

The car is not an ugly car. It's a pretty muscular and cool looking car in it's own right. It has that import look. That's just the way it is. And that's ok. That's the direction BMW wants to go and just have to go with it.

I don't personally care for the 3M adhesive added parts to make it more racer looking. I personally feel it makes it look WRX/Type-R like and a car with an M2 name shouldn't add parts unless it's actually functional. You'd never see such stick-on parts on a Porsche unless it's functional thank goodness. But again, it is the look they want and the Fast and Furious that they are targeting.

It's a new generation and new BMW.

And apparently they have the Benjamin's to afford new BMWs now.

Agree, the wing could look good if color matched with the stock G87 styling.

It reminds me more of E30 M3 Evo wing vs E36 M3 LTW.

Found this teaser of the Manhart MH2, it's quite interesting..I believe it's a beast and absolutely love it, it gives some perspective on possible treatments for the G87 to enhansne it's boldness

BMW did an amazing job on this car except for the design of the front grilles, front bumper, headlights, rear bumper, and rear taillights. Everything else looks great.

This is the set up I wanted to do before seeing the colors… a little homage, but decided to go with the TR. Probably will still add the spoiler.
