M2 through M5 profiles.
I must say, the m2's profile is the best of the lot. The proportions seem spot on. I like the m3's pronounced door sculpting, but the first 1/3 of the car doesn't seem to match the rest of it. I don't like how the nose dips downward, like a dog crapping.
The m5 is a total bore, and the m4 looks like a 4th gen Camaro. I'm astonished that the Hoffmeister kink is wholly absent from the m4—it really throws off the whole BMW aesthetic. The m2, however, has the most pronounced H-kink, and I dig it. View post on imgur.com |

Looking at the profiles of the M2 and M3 next to each other shows how similar they are in roofline. I created a simple overlay image drawn to scale to show how similar the 2 really are. Blue is the M2, Black is the M3.
