Brought my car to the tint/PPF place I used to check on the PPF they applied.
I mentioned I was going to buy those blacked out pieces to replace the red plastic reflectors on the left and right sides of the bumper. Guy says “hold on”, comes back with a couple strips of black vinyl wrap left over from another car he was working on, and throws them over the reflectors in 5 minutes for free. Can’t complain about that lol |

You have mental issues. You probably need to go away. Go out and check your PPF and look for dents.

It actually will last forever if it's taken care of. There are plenty of 1950s, 60s...cars driving around. Hell drove by a 1920-30s Model A the other day.
It just doesn't seem like you have anything relevant or of substance to add.

This is what I've got waiting for the rears. Heck of a lot cheaper than the $100+ plastic replacements.
https://aeroflowdynamicsoverlays.com...41411785687155 They make the same for the front bumper reflectors, but I wanted the FPB (OUCH) colored replacements.

I cannot imagine spending time out of my life to be mad about what other people did regarding PPF. Life is waaaay too short to be the person who decides their time isn’t valuable & waste it on being mad at hypothetical things that don’t affect them.

I did PPF up to the A pillar, but now I have realized a big mistake. The most important place to ppf is the passenger side door sill. That thing is a scuff magnet...huge. Every passenger that gets in, scuffs their shoe on that bulge. Will be adding some PPF there for sure.

What is a reasonable price to ceramic coat my new wheels? I got a $600 and a $500. Both seem crazy to me

It was $500 on the custom forged wheels for my Z06 from the wheel vendor, so your quotes are in the ballpark. I could've diy on those wheels as they have a much more open spoke design. The M2 wheels are a pita to clean, so seem like a pita to coat.

Ah, those don't look that difficult. I love doing my own work, but with multiple cars and limited time, I now put a little more value on my time. Will the wheels be coated when you get them or are you taking them somewhere? My Z06 wheels came coated, so the expense didn't bother me as much.

You can do the APEX’s yourself. Save money. I’ve done my own wheels for years now. 2 options: leave them on the car and just go over the face and behind all the spokes, or take the wheels off, give them a good wash, and coat the whole thing. Careful of the balancing weights…the ceramic coat solvent can loosen them, so leave a buffer zone around them.
Coating the wheels on my F80 helped. This brake dust on the M2 is something else. It will stick as if you didn’t coat them. But the coating will help getting tar and sticky things off (they will just “pop” off) and help prevent some staining. If worried about dusting, answer is different pads. Ceramic coatings powers are useless against this dust!
