No SP am i still going to like my car...
Hey guys,
my car will be here in like 2 months. I ordered a 330i with the PP, Cold weather package and sat prep; it is SG and i ordered terra interior. My ? is will i still like my 330 even though i did not get the SP. It seems most people on here have it, i am kind of worried now. any input would be great! Later |

If it's not to late to change your order, you should drive one with SP and then decide whether or not to add it. If cost is an issue then look at it this way, your already spending around 40K so what's another $1600? |

The E90 is a terrific car with or without ZSP.

No SP for me either. However, I love it more and enjoy it everyday. My situation was different that I needed to get the car w/ certain exterior/interior color in a few days since my accident rental car ended. I couldn't find my combo with sport that time (Arctic, gray lethear, premium), so I ended up without it. That's the only option I regret. I won't miss the I-drive at all tho.

A non sp 330 compared to a TL will handle better purely because it is RWD. Maybe on your next BMW consider the SP, but don't sweat it if it is too late to change or you don't want to up the price.
You have to draw the line somewhere. So feel good that you made the best decision at the time and enjoy your new baby when she gets here. |

the only reason i wouldnt like a non-ZSP is because of the lack of 162's, sports seats, and steering wheel....I havent driven a non-ZSP ever so i dont really know how it feels compared to what i got...
anyways if you got ZSP our cars would be too similar, step or MT?

trust me you made a very good choice by opting not to get the SP, esp. if you live in the bronx. I make frequent trips into NYC and even the standard suspension makes my bones rattle on certain streets. And don't think b/c you didn't get SP that the car will no longer be fun or handle well. Since your getting the 330i it comes with 17 inch tires and thats all you need. My car drives like A DREAM. The steering is so tight and precise and i feel like i can take corners as fast as i want. 100mph+ - rock solid. I was just as worried as you but then i went and I drove the SP and it was a little bit more fun but not by much. Also the ride tradeoff in nyc was def not worth getting it.

I weighed the benefits and cons of sport package very carefully before ordering my 330 without sport. I found that the sport rode rougher and was considerably more costly to maintain. The tires for the sport package wear faster and must be replaced more frequently, cost more too, and on top of that, they can't even be rotated since the front and back tires are of different sizes.
However, remember that the sport packaged car has nicer seats and the top end speed is better too - in case you have fancies of driving 155 mph! |

im gonna play devil's advocate here and ask, why are people so concerned with smooth ride? If that was the case i would advise the Lexus IS...i thought what distinguised bmw owners from the rest is their desire for the ultimate balance with sport and luxury. Also, what are you comparing this to? Everytime i ride in a ZSP i dont at all feel it is harsh...i think anything else is "floaty"
