Steering Intervention updated - not good
One of the most annoying features in the so called "Intelligent Safety Systems" is steering intervention under lane keeping.
The checkbox for this kept your setting in memory so turning if off would keep it off but now it comes on each ignition cycle. From a conversation with a Master Tech this is as a result of an update from BMW in the later firmware revision. As a result we need to turn to Bimmercode and I’m sure it will need to be done in expert mode Does anyone know the code for this either to add it to memory setting between ignition cycles (like the stop start) or maybe change the speed at which it comes in Hope there’s a solution out there, maybe Bimmercode might include it in the next update |

It's regional or Yours might be a pre November version of the firmware. I was advised yesterday by a BMW Senior Tech that BMW have now changed this setting in all new firmware. |

Is it possible your under a guest key and not your profile?
Mines been off since day 1. November pick up It remembers everything. I really hope a new firmware doesn't change that |

Bimmercode has not released an update for a while so here’s hoping it might be included in the new update, I saw similar posts in the G20 forums, some have it in memory others don’t I had a M235i before this and it retained the setting between ignition cycles Bimmercode is really the best answer, and hopefully will bring official support for the BMW G42in the next release |

Been onto Stephen at Bimmercode too, I hope it doesn’t filter across to you guys too. We have a few things like that on Right Hand drive cars, Stop start (which fortunately can be coded out) I think because of odd legislation they have in the UK other RHD countries inherit the coding for those countries as our market is nowhere the size of the US market |

Ditto on this Aus region mine resets on Inginion restart. I was doing a BMW club drive went to take the 1st corner and the steering intervened stuffing that corner. I really don't want this muscle memory where need to remember to turn it off every time I start the car.

Given it’s still selectable to memory in USA it will be a regional thing so I’m sure there’s a solution. Bimmercode have not indicated interest but there could be a local coding solution and I’ll follow through on that. |

If it can be done with stop start and other menus it's just a matter of knowing where to look |
