Introducing AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Competition Brakes, with rear parking brake!

Hi,

Many of you may be familiar with our AP Racing by Essex Competition Brake Kits for previous generations of BMW M cars. We now have a fully sorted front and rear brake kit for the G87 M2, including an option to maintain your parking brake! Our front system shaves just under 20 lbs. of unsprung weight from the OEM front brakes, while our rear kit also shaves another 20 lbs. if you aren't running a parking brake. If you do need a parking brake, our solution saves you about 6 lbs. That's anywhere from 26-40 pounds of unsprung weight removed from the car.

For the track rats, our systems also fit a wide range of 18" wheels.

(ps FYI...The M2 we weighed tipped the scales at 3635 lbs.)

All our available brake kit options for the G87 M2 can be seen here.

We posted a lengthy introduction to our front system on the G8x M3 forum, which you can see here: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1991961

Here's a blog post specifically examining our front kit for the G87 M2: https://www.essexparts.com/news-blog...the-bmw-g87-m2

We just completed a blog post detailing our rear solution as well, which can be read here: https://www.essexparts.com/news-blog...2g87-rear-kits

We also happen to be running the largest sale in company history through November 30th, so if you're looking for the finest brake solution available for your M2, now is the time to buy!

Our calipers also offer huge convenience benefits to anyone who is swapping between street and track pads, since our calipers don't need to be removed to do so.

You're running out of time to save over $2,000 on a four-wheel AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Brake Kit for your M2! Don't forget to allocate some of those Black Friday funds to the gift that will keep giving the whole track season through.

Is there a weight savings on the rear by the time you add the extra parking brake caliper?

We finally have some pictures of the complete rear kit that includes a parking brake. https://www.essexparts.com/ap-racing...g80-m3-enp-epb

This kit is available with either anodized or ENP (Electroless Nickel Plated) calipers.

jritt@essex given your expertise in brake systems, I'd greatly value your recommendation for the best track pads with the stock iron setup. I've been using Pagid RSL29s, but I noticed you offer Ferodos in your bundles. Any insights on which might be more suitable for heavy track use?

I see that the M4 GT four spec vehicles use AP racing set up

Race in SCCA national time trials
And NASA time trial events

What option would be A good option if I’m using endless MX 20 pads, front and rear
