SCCA solo Autocross Category
Has anyone been running their G87 in SCCA autocross events? What class are you running? Mine is 100% stock, so I am trying to determine if it should be A street or B Street category. From my review of the rules - they placed the G series M3/M4 as well as the M2CS in A Street, but haven’t addressed our chassis yet. The prior M2 base was in B Street.
My local SCCA is having an autoX event next weekend and I would like to order numbers and my class before it. Thanks in advance. Last edited by JamnF87; 06-02-2023 at 05:09 PM.. |

Since it hasn't been classed yet, you can go B Street.
Use this as an alibi: https://www.scca-classifier.com/a/index.html It doesn’t matter anyway, since it’s a new car. It’ll have to be run an entire season to be classed next year. I bet it’ll be classed as an M3/4, so your most logical choice is A Class. |

Letters have been written to put the car in either BS or FS, I believe the official announcement will come June or July's fast track.

Per today's Fast Track the 2023 BMW M2 is in B-Street, please note due to the late classing, the car is not legal for national competition until 2024, however for regional stuff it is in B-Street for the remainder of 2023.
