I just want to see what the carbon hood will look like, this is my favorite feature change for every cs/gts car. Alpha-N has increasingly been a tough act to follow as of late.

I have been driving a CSL for months now, whats this CS business?

But I agree this doesn't feel special. However, I think we have normalized a certain level of modification that this CS just feels poorly thought out. Almost like they intentionally put thought into sabotaging the stock G87

The base M2 is 65k. adding 4k transmission , 4.5k bucket seat, 2.5k CF roof, 1.5k wheels and steering wheel and 1-2 k additional standard features (such as CF interior) the base price point would be around 80k...

This is underwhelming honestly. I'm hoping that there are more cool standard features for people to buy this over a normal G87.

525hp - That's a hefty upgrade over stock 453/473. I wonder how much real horsepower that is since we know the standard 23/24 model make 470 at the wheels, which is coincidentally around 525.
RWD - that is great but to be expected. I wouldn't want a AWD M2 CSL to compromise dynamics.
Automatic transmission only we already knew this but it still is sad. I wish BMW took note of what Porsche did with the GT3 and make it manual again.
Wheels off the big brother CS/CSLs that's disappointing as these can be purchased elsewhere. I would have wanted a unique wheel design for a unique car.
Carbon roof I sure would hope so on a six figure M2.

Alcantara steering wheel as standard Not everyone will want that but that's fine, I think it adds to the sporty touch of the car and makes it more unique. There's just a lot more upkeep than the standard leather.

Just from this info, it really seems lackadaisical. I was hoping there would be more details on the unique CS items on the car. But for what it's worth, we're still a year away from production. I want that trunk though.

While I love the x drive and it is blazing fast, have a RWD m2 I love allowing me to throw the rear end around.

It will be amazing and wonder what the real horsepower will be once it hits the dyno.
