When was the track built?

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was built as part of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics development programme. The foundation stone was laid in 1989, while the first car race was a round of the 1991 Spanish Touring Car Championship.
When was its first Grand Prix?

Two weeks after the touring cars raced at Barcelona, it was Formula 1’s turn. The track enjoyed a sensational debut, with Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna’s famous eyeball-to-eyeball drag race down the straight, before Mansell took the lead and drove on to victory.
What’s the circuit like?

The drivers love the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which is just as well, as they have traditionally spent huge amounts of time pounding around it during winter testing. The track is a good mix of high- and low-speed corners, with the challenging Turn 3 right-hander a great chance to evaluate the balance of the car your team’s designers have given you to fight with for the season.
Why go?

You don’t need us to tell you that Barcelona is one of the world’s great cities, even if we just sort of did. Food, culture, beaches – it’s all there, making a Spanish Grand Prix holiday a properly attractive proposition.
Where is the best place to watch?

You’ve got plenty of choice, with almost the whole track overlooked by grandstands or general admission areas. On the outside of Turn 1, Grandstand A will let you see the best overtaking spot on the track, while the general admission area around Turn 3 will provide the awe-inspiring sight of Formula 1 cars being pushed to the limit of their downforce capabilities.

So what are your predictions?

For me this has Max Verstappen written all over it.
He has the best car and is on top of his driving performance.
But for sure ALO will do his best to perform.

Well , LEW (the spy) said that he shot pictures with his smartphone from Checo's RB19 'floor .

The Barcelona weather forecast is interesting as well. They say rain !

^ HAM can take all the pics he wants but actually there is not much there to write to his home about, the floor is all flat surface and just the aero tunnels visible which can be seen in the on the ground pics. Comparing it with the Mercs' floor with it's 'Enter the Dragon' Han's multi blade weapon type air deflectors.

In this new season the RB19's top secret is the smaller gearbox .
It's practically half that of the Aston Martin => https://racingnews365.com/the-red-bu...ility-weakness

Let's say this frees up extra space for a very useful aero package ....
So , A copy-cat is impossible . Too bad for the other teams

RB know how with the gearbox too, Merc have probably wasted their time and money making a 14 B spec and Ferrari Fred has said there will be no B spec F23, just added on bits and pieces.

Wolff wants to beat Ferrari though he keeps referring to RB indirectly saying they hope to 'catch up' RB lol but for sure Ferrari have to get out of the quagmire that they have made for themselves so far.

It's known that the 23 can take slow corners quick but is a hand full for the drivers on fast turns and when the weather worsens, and there's still a question mark over the strat. They have to liven up somehow to take the fight to Merc as well as AM and at Barcelona they are getting more bits which will hopefully agree with the car.
