Hi I am UK based and have the G42 with tech pack (ZTK in USA) so larger discs and pads to match. Has anyone replaced the larger pads yet and if so did you go BMW or something else like EBC. I’ve done a track day and have another one coming up and know they will need doing soon but unsure how I search for the non standard size? Thanks.

I have used Endless brake pads for the track and they work great. What I really like about them is they are not bad on the street. Very little to no noise. Here are the sizes below, but before you buy look at the drawings to make sure you are getting the correct pads. Also I bought my first set in the US and found the same in Japan for less the half price. Bought them at Black Hawk Japan. Great company and great customer service. When I asked a question they responded to me within a day or two and very up front on how long it takes to make the pads. I was amazed how quickly I got them once shipped. It only took 2-3 days to get to my home in the US.
I don't recommend EBC, from my experience in the past about 10 years ago they chunked on the track. Not sure if they have improved there compound but I won't buy them again unless I see several experienced racers recommend them.

ENDLESS EIP302 CC40 (ME20) BRAKE PAD FRONT FOR BMW G30. I know it says for G30 but these are for the G42 with the ZTK

ENDLESS EIP301 CC40 (ME20) BRAKE PAD REAR

Go to the Endless website and search EIP 301 and EIP302. I think Black Hawk Japan also has a link to the drawings or email them. By the way it took about 5-6 weeks for Endless to make them and besure to get the CC40/ME20 compound. Another option is Porterfield AP1868 for the fronts and AP2220 rears. I have never used them but that was what I was going to use until I discovered Black Hawk Japan.

You won't be disappointed with the Endless ME20/CC40, they are a great endurance pad with great modulation and stopping power with little to no fade. They do dust but so do the OE pads. I got about 6-8 track weekends out of these. After you learn the car disable all the nanny controls that will save your brakes plus give you much more driving experience. I just bought front and rear pads and going on the track the first weekend in April. I also bought front rotors due to heat cracks. Not bad for 8 hard track weekends. Rear rotors are fine. We are doing 5 30 min. sessions a day this past session which is a lot. Our session starts in Oct. and ends in April. Too hot here in the summer. Normal is 4 20 min. sessions. There are usually 100+ drivers per event now it is down to 60 so they are combining run groups to give us more time. I also have front camber plates which does help. This car is an awesome track car very happy with it and it drives great on the street with great fuel economy. Best of both worlds. The only issue I am having is it goes through tires, trying to figure that out but all my instructors are telling me I'm doing fine and not over driving the car. Let me know if you want any more advice been track cars for almost 20 years.

Try EBC Bluestuff. Are you looking for a track only pad or both street and track?

I’m considering the endless pads. Would they work as street pads for commute. Or maybe I’ll just get it as dedicated track pads and keep OEM on the street.

The Endless do work fine for street pad. One reason I recommend them. They don't squeal or very little squeal on street. Also, these pads are very rotor friendly. I have tried many track pads EBC, junk, Raybestos great pad but they don't make these anymore plus they squeal on street. Endless ME20 so far are the best.

I bed them in like other other manufactures do, don't over think this.
Here is what I do, but before you do this safety first, check your mirrors.
All you are doing is heating the pads to transfer pad material to the rotors and getting the off gases off the pads.
Once I know I have a firm pedal I drive 10-20 mph and slow to almost a stop. Don't slam on the brakes you just want to heat them up. I do this about 3-5 times. Then I will go about 40 and do the same. Then I will do 60. You should smell the brakes and once very hot try to cruise to cool them down before parking the car and don't use the parking brake. Like I said don't over thing this. This is just an example you just want to get the pads hot and try not to come to a complete stop for any length of time and if you get caught at a light neutral no brake if possible. Remember safety first.

Yes EIP is fitment ME22 or 20 is the compound material. I just looked at the ME22 sounds interesting might give them a try next time. BTW I used UPS shipping it was the cheapest and I received them in 3 days once shipped from Japan. I had 2 orders with them and both were 3 days. I was very impressed with Black Hawk Japan, I wasn't sure about them but read good reviews and looked them up if they were legit which they are. Plus when I ordered them they emailed me saying it will take 30 days or so since they are made to order. There customer service was better than most companies that has great customer service. I hope this helps.
