Oil drip

First time BMW owner. Bought a G87 from Carmax with 7500 miles. Engine oil change mileage/ tracker had been reset, but nobody had any records of who did the work, so I took it to the local dealer to have the oil changed just in case.

Drove the six miles back from the dealer, came out the next day, and there was oil underneath (pic 2, circled in red). Checked the camera in my garage and it wasn't there before I went to the dealership.

Got it up to operating temp, ran the oil level check, and it was right at Max. Drove it to-from work twice (80 miles total) and parked in different spots in the garage, and still have a couple dots after each 40-mile trip (pic 1, circled in blue and red).

Don't see any oil spray or leaks under the hood. Have run the oil level check three more times at different points in the last 80 miles and it's still at the Max line.

Any reason to run it back to the dealer? Main reason I would is that it's still dripping after 80 highway miles. But, looking at where the filter is located, I could see it being easy to spill a bunch of oil when changing it. At what point above the Max line will you get an error code? This is all uneducated speculation, but is there any sort of catch can or similar system to remove/ pull excess oil?

If it stopped leaking after the pictures you are correct. My F150 does the same thing if I do not wipe out the drainage path the oil follows.

Until you put it on a lift and carefully inspect it, you are simply speculating. This is like diagnosing a patient without examining them.
