M Performance Alcantara knee pads installed

Simple 2 min install. Pop the shifter surround up by pulling from the bottom inside the center console, then use a plastic trim tool to pop each oem knee pad out. Snap the new ones in and done. They're much thicker than the oem plastic pieces.

Part # 51-95-5-A27-1B6. List price is $302, but you can get them for $232 here, www.bmwpartscenter.com

Looks great, how do they match the center rest, is the color matching the dark or the light stripe?

Thanks! How do you like it, does it improve comfort or simply aesthetics?

Just realized, the center console on MT has a different shape, these won't fit indeed ... Oh well, I just saved $232

Yeah.. working on a lighted trim piece project right there too, and it only works for automatics sadly.
