It took me 54 days from the time of allocation to take delivery on my car. The steps prior to the allocation were complicated and quite a long story. Allocation received on 11/29/2023, car picked up on 1/22/2024. I specced the sport seats so no delay with carbon fiber buckets, and I had the MP HAS kit installed at the port in Baltimore which added a couple business days to the process.
There was lots of luck along the way for me and some of the steps seem to go much faster than most. Congrats on the new car and good luck with the wait.

The time passes quicker than you’d expect.
Personally, I spent some of the time planning interior and exterior additions as there many options to make your car unique. This forum provides a wealth of information and ideas to do it. “Patience is a virtue”. -William Langland |

I live in the foothills of Appalachia. Some of the most beautiful Winding country roads over hills and through the forest with open valleys between them with straight roads for opening up the throttle . That car was made for these roads. Seriously I can’t wait.

So great. I try to drive to LA once a summer to visit son1. Usually go through the dragon, you’ll have to hook me up with your neck of the woods. I’m hoping to be in a 2025 spring ‘26.

The dragon is my first planned trip after the break in period lol. I’ve did it a few times on a bike but the m2 is making me go back. Hey any time you come through give me a shout and I’ll show you some good roads. Seriously

I ordered mine through the bmw store. I sent them an email and asked how long it would take if I ordered one and he called the next morning and said they had one allocation “in hand “ so the time was ripe to order it. I ordered it the next day.

Put my name down for allocation end of December 2022. Allocation granted Oct-2023, delivered to dealership 1.5 months later in November.
No carbon options added & manual 6spd. |

That’s fast once it started!! I hope mine is that quick I had an allocation when I ordered it. I work away. I’m a captain on a riverboat and I got three weeks left till I go home. So with any luck it’ll arrive during my month home. I’ll be a sad puppy if it arrives the day after I leave again and I have to wait an additional month for no reason. Lol

But you literally are gonna be on a boat and can't take delivery for chunks of time. Hope the timing works out for you! |
