By any chance are we eligible to code the IDrive 8 to play videos while driving like the F-Chasis? I noticed one issue so far that on my previous vehicle "M340i" I had a USB with videos that worked but when I plug into my G87 it doesn't even read the files/videos. So I'm not sure if the feature is taken out or it read a different format. Any help would be great!

My use case... though infrequent has been to throw on a football game that I had to miss. Mostly to hear the TV broadcast vs radio but a glance down when safe is nice.

When I get off work, I am in dead-stop traffic every day. I will usually be sitting in a single spot for 3-6 minutes at a time. So I would like to just throw on a music video and just watch it to entertain my mind instead of starring at the back of a license plate that hasn't moved.

And this is one of the main reasons you're stuck in one spot for minutes at a time, because people aren't paying attention to whats going on around them. Gaps open up, people speed up, have to hit brakes again, sit, repeat. I can't imagine having to be entertained by some device every minute of the day.

It is an addiction by design. Obviously it also has good purposes but many more nefarious ones.
