My update went as it should luckily, apps not nagging me thank god

For those like me, where the in-car upgrade completed successfully, but a week later the My BMW app still has the "New Remote Software Upgrade" prompt ...

I called the Genius line yesterday, and the person said it's a known issue and they are apparently already working on an app update to fix the false notification.

And she knew the issue right away (didn't put me on hold, didn't need to ask others) so it sounds like it's not uncommon at the moment.

It’s fixed for me, showed up as “successfully installed” this morning.

This morning, the app was not only telling me that the update was needed on the car, but it had re-downloaded the package and was telling me to connect to the car! Infuriating.

Just deleted/reinstalled the app, and it now says the update (11/2023.73) is successfully installed.

Spotify and Google Maps in gauge cluster haven’t been working last few days. Intermittently seeing what look like data protection and internet connectivity warning icons on iDrive Home Screen.

Now I wake up to see this on my phone, 1 full week after applying the update.

A lot of quirks lately with Connected Drive related stuff. Especially last night. Spotify not working. Warning looking icons in the top right iDrive system tray which looked like internet connectivity and data privacy warnings. Checked the data privacy settings and it was still set as I had left it but was very sluggish in that menu. Weird stuff... Almost seems like BMW was messing around with their Connected Drive cloud environment last night. Will check the iDrive functionality in the car later today, now that the myBMW app is finally accepting that the software upgrade completed 1 week ago.

If you continue to have issues, take the car in to get the 03/2024 update, hopefully that fixes the issues you’re having.

It’s fixed for me, showed up as “successfully installed” this morning.

Mine showed up the same this morning as well. Looks like they fixed something server side (as opposed to an app update.)

IDrive functioning normally today after BMW sorted out what seems to have been a server side / cloud issue.
