New MAD Product Release - Oil cooler Skid Plate M2/M3/M4

Introducing the MAD BMW M3 M4 M2 S58 G80 G82 G87 Skid Plate

Upgrade your BMW's protection and performance with the new MAD Skid Plate, designed specifically for the M3, M4, and M2 models (S58 G80 G82 G87). This skid plate is engineered to provide unbeatable protection, ensuring your vehicle remains in pristine condition no matter where your adventures take you.

Why You Need an Oil Cooler Guard for Your S58 BMW M2, M3, and M4

Protecting your high-performance engine is crucial, and for owners of the S58 BMW M2, M3, and M4, an oil cooler guard is an essential upgrade. Here’s why:

1. Safeguard Your Investment: The S58 engine in your BMW M2, M3, or M4 is a masterpiece of engineering, designed for high performance and longevity. However, the oil cooler, positioned at the front of the vehicle, is vulnerable to damage from road debris, rocks, and other hazards. An oil cooler guard acts as a protective barrier, preventing costly damage and ensuring your engine stays in peak condition.

2. Maintain Optimal Performance: A damaged oil cooler can lead to overheating and reduced engine efficiency or even a blown motor. By installing an oil cooler guard, you ensure that the cooler remains intact and functions efficiently, maintaining the optimal temperature for your engine’s oil. This helps to preserve the engine’s performance, reliability, and longevity, especially during spirited driving or track days.

3. High-Quality Construction: Our oil cooler guard is crafted from robust, high-grade stainless steel materials that withstand the rigors of the road. Designed specifically for the S58 engine, it offers precise fitment and superior protection without compromising airflow or cooling efficiency.

4. Easy Installation: The oil cooler guard is designed for a straightforward installation process, making it a convenient upgrade for any BMW enthusiast. With all necessary hardware included, you can quickly enhance your vehicle’s protection without the need for extensive modifications.

5. Peace of Mind: Driving with the confidence that your engine is protected from unforeseen road hazards allows you to fully enjoy the performance capabilities of your BMW. An oil cooler guard provides peace of mind, knowing that your investment is shielded from potential damage.

Features:
-Premium Wrinkle Black Finish:
-Custom-fit for BMW S58 M2, M3, and M4 models
-Durable stainless steel construction for maximum protection
-Preserves airflow and cooling efficiency
-Easy, bolt-on installation
-Lifetime Assurance: Enjoy peace of mind with a lifetime warranty, guaranteeing that your MAD Skid Plate is built to last and withstand the test of time.

Ensure your BMW S58 engine remains protected and performs at its best with our premium oil cooler guard. It’s a small investment that offers substantial peace of mind and long-term benefits for your high-performance vehicle.

Forum members always get 5% using code MAD. We have already tested and fitted this product. We made a few changes to the grate design to improve flow but fitment remains the same.

Earlier grate design to show our fitment.

It screws into the metal shield in many spots.

Good afternoon, any data available on air flow? Does this impact the cooling ability of the oil cooler?

We have noticed 0 difference in oil temps on our test car. The guard will block air flow across the bottom of the cooler to create nagtive pressure similar to the oem air dam.

How hard is it to screw into the metal? Do you need to drill pilot holes? Can you use hand tools or need to use power tools? Thinking about if I can manage to do this on jack stands or will need to use a shop with a lift.

None of that. Simply unbolt the screws needed and bolt them through our shield. This is a simple diy install with no special tools needed.

Order placed with Extreme Power. They had a flash sale so definitely happy with the cost. Was initially going to go with Mishimoto but this was very close to theirs but at a much better cost.

A little worried about not having the rubber air dam but I am no expert so what do I know. I will will put my trust with the guys at MAD.

When are these shipping? Ordered a few weeks ago. I’m days away from getting my car.

Oh, 9/25 I see.

Is that ETA still accurate?

Use to say the 15th or 19th before (something like that) but then changed it to the 25th. Still waiting for mine as well.

I spoke to a rep from extreme power house which is where I ordered mine from. They said they are expecting a shipment of the skid plate this week or next week at the latest and then will start shipping it out.
