Non-adaptive headlights to adaptive conversion swap?

Hey all,

I got a great deal on a '24 M2 but it came with the non-adaptive headlights, so they just have the wimpy-looking LED strip at the bottom. Question: are the m240i and M2 headlights the exact same? I know the M2 has the small black trim on the bottom inside of each housing, but it looks like that is removable and can be swapped onto a new housing? The price for m240i adaptive headlights on eBay seem to be coming down. I know coding is needed, but just trying to get an absolute yay or nay that the headlights themselves are the same.
