Correct Diff Fluid Part #

Ok... I am looking to change the diff fluid in my 15 M3 6MT.
But the part number from the 1200 mile service is not coming anymore, while at least not on the getbmwparts.com site.

The part number from my 1200 mile service paperwork is:
83-22-1-467-993 (qty 2)

The part number that I was told by a local parts department is:
83-22-2-357-992 (and was told I needed 1)

Also I was told that I needed to replace the drain plugs which I can see there are two from the realoem.com diff diagram-> part 33-11-75-25-064

Can anyone confirm this information?

I ordered differential oil part number 83222282583 from getbmwparts.com in January and needed exactly two bottles. I didn’t bother with new drain plugs because they're durable enough for several uses.

OP wasnt all of this discussed in another thread?

Anyway, the part number from your dealer as well as what flying low posted should both work. Only real difference is the friction modifier (which adds to the cost considerably). The one with FM only comes in 0.5L bottles which is why you would need two.
