Took delivery of my Toronto Red M2! (4K pics + delivery video)

Was handed the keys to my Toronto Red M2 on Monday, paint name is fitting as I live in Toronto.. Car came with 38kms and I picked it up from Budd's BMW in Oakville. Sadly, I lost the tire lottery and got the Pirelli P Zero's instead of the Michelin PS4S. Pushed the car a decent amount and the Pirellis don't feel terrible, so I guess that's a plus. The car now has 250kms on it, I'm practically racing my way to 2000km's for the break in service so that I can start being a proper hooligan. This is my first vehicle I've owned with a manual transmission and it's been an absolute blast bangin' gears, it just feels right. It hasn't been all been perfect though, I may or may not thrown the car into the incorrect gear.. a couple times. All in all, very happy with my choice of gearbox. Coming from only driving DCT transmissions, I think I would have noticed the sluggishness of the ZF.

In the interim, I'm going to keep the car completely stock just to keep that OEM, new car feeling for as long as possible. I say this, but probably wont even make it to the break in period before I complete my first mod. As I write this, I already have 4 packages in the garage waiting to be unboxed and fitted to the car with 2 other packages en route. Anyways, enjoy these photos that I took and edited. I applied a very light color correction to make things pop a little more but the TR paint itself is quite accurate in the pics. I have now seen ZB, TR, BG in person and I have to say BG was the most disappointing. Just feels quite bland and boring on a loud and muscular shaped car. I feel like ZB, TR, BSM are all excellent choices for this car. AW is safe, I've had it on 2 other F87's before so I'm quite familiar with it. Also, don't be that guy who gets a front license plate bracket drilled into the bumper.. this cars front end looks HORRIBLE with a license plate FYI.

In general I’m not a fan of Toronto Red but it really does suit the G87 nicely! Mine is in production this week and I went with *gulp*… BG…, BMW really screwed over the M2 crowd again with the lack of nice colors. Can’t wait to see all the mods you do to this!

Congratulations Red best colour, agree completely with your comments regarding BG - too bland - shame BMW have offered such a limited palate of colour choice unlike M3/M4

Saw your video last night and heard you mention you'd be willing to do mods on the car. IMO it needs to be dropped with a HAS kit for better handling and also to close that giant wheel gap. But hey, it's your car, do whatever makes 'you' happy and congratulations.

It's 20% all around, nothing on front windshield

Ya HAS kit is a sure thing. Still deciding on which brand to go with.. going to do a bit more research then pull the trigger.

Just make sure you get one that comes with shorter bump stops, they are a must. The two that I know of that come with them are the BMW M Performance HAS kit and the KW HAS kit. Dinan is in the process of making some too, but they are still in development and won't be available for several months. Looking forward to your mods.
