EU and US Spec sound difference

Hey guys - if anyone heard both in person - how big is the difference between US and EU spec exhaust? Do you even hear it inside the car with the ASD involved?

I’d say it’s a difference but not huge. The the EU has that OPF stuff. The US spec is quiet as hell but no OPF.

EU is definitely more quiet then US spec. It's the same exhaust plus OPF ( primary cats + secondary cats + OPF (EU only) + resonator + rear box ). It's hard to get two cars next to each other and hear the difference.
The best part for the US exhaust is that you cand replace the midpipe very easily, without those ugly OPF deleters or remap.

If you are EU/UK based, and you do decide to do an OPF delete, there is a pretty good chance you’d fail your MOT/inspection

You can always pass the MOT with a bit of money in the pocket of an inspector. The issue is if you go to Switzerland and they decide to the on-the-spot MOT. That might suck. Never happening in the CZ tho.

They are clamping down on it in the UK a lot, the “friendly” MOT testers of 10+ years ago are gone.

In the UK there is no part of the MOT test which checks particulates or for the OPF, however you’d need mapping to prevent the fault code. That could always change in future however!
