Do you guys have recommendations on how to remove stubborn scuffs at the bottom of the door (see image)? These are from our shoes. As much as we try not to touch our shoes to the door, it happens. After I try to remove them, is there anything like PPF for these areas?

Try a slightly damp Magic Eraser with very light pressure to start.

That and stop kicking the doors. I've got size 12 shoes and don't hit the doors when I exit, so it can be done.

I've always done this to my two-door cars. It's the curse of longer doors. It is what it is.

Don’t forget. The G87 is equipped with 2 memory seat settings. Simply set the 2nd memory seat button to move the driver’s seat to its most rearward position. A quick tap of the number 2 button will now move the seat rearward and allow the driver to exit more easily.

I've found the Magic Eraser only so good, but I haven't been able to figure out anything else. My garage is super tight, so I can only open the door to the first detent, and even being careful it happens.

Right, unless you’re able to open the door all the way all the time, seems pretty inevitable.

I was on some random reddit thread where someone was complaining about this. A poster mentioned 303 protectant helped.

I had some 303 lying around that I use on my outdoor gear. I put some on a rag and tested it out. It actually did a great job covering it up. I'm not really sure how it worked. Like if it picked up the rubber from the shoes, or if it's just filling the voids and covering it up, but after applying it I can't really see where the scuffs are.

Dish soap and blue Scotch Brite kitchen sponge can be pretty effective at removing scuff marks. Do not use the green Scotch Brite, it's way too aggressive and will scratch the door badly. If that doesn't remove the scuffs, you could step it up to using some sort of paint scratch remover. I like Meguiar's Scratch X with a microfiber towel. Just rub it on the area with gentle pressure, the product breaks down as it's worked and goes from cutting to polishing. You don't want to work it too much at once or it may leave a shiny spot, just take your time and do multiple passes, most scuffs will come out.

You can use a heat gun (carefully). The heating action brings out the oils in the plastic and heals it.

If you overheat, you will get a dull spot.

Textured plastic is always very difficult to remedy. This heat method actually sounds promising & I've used it to careful remove other blemishes from soft plastic / rubber coated composites.

I wouldn’t worry about it. If you obsess over them you’ll end up damaging the sill from over cleaning it. 303 Aerospace protectant does a good job of making them less obvious.

Well said. Preventing is easy. I never had an issue with leather wear on side bolsters either.

13 here. My every car I own gets these. I’m clumsy as hell getting out of this thing lol.
