Wheel and a touch power. No paint options. Power difference is hardly night and day but color updates would be appreciated.

Looks good on paper but in practice any gains will be negligible.

However…it could make the MY 23 and 24’s less desirable and thus cheaper and more easily obtainable.

Wow, I never thought BMW would have done this to the base during the production years. To make this right they should give out a free HP power kit upgrade for the ones that bought a first gen G87 with bmw warranty. Wishful thinking.

Power bumper isn't really a big deal.

More interesting is the cosmetic changes, new wheel options and color choices.

Or just do a few minor mods to the current G87 M2 and have just as much power. I'm happy with by current production # and color. TR. The CS will probably be out of my price point.

I don't think electric. 1. That's a massive powertrain change to drop into a brand new design (midcycle, not even LCI?). 2. The G8x models always get new toys before the M2, is there an electric M3 already that I'm not aware of?

Also, where the heck would they put it, the M2 chassis is stuffed. Would they shrink the gas tank even more, lol?

I can't imagine there's anything done other than tuning to get that number. I assume an aftermarket tune will do much better. But yeah, a little x51 powerkit type deal might be nice from BMW.

It’s already hard enough to get one right now for most, don’t see any sense in dropping off the list for an LCI unless you really dislike the current color options.

It's bittersweet for me. I always planned on getting the LCI and was hoping for better color options. This however will only exacerbate the amount of people that will want to get on the list for one.

But why market it as having more power unless the 3 & 4 are making more power now too?
Will there be any hardware updates? Is this a software tune? Or is this simply reissuing the "correct" numbers?
So many questions.
MY25 is the M3/M4 LCI I believe. Probably going to add more power to those.

Maybe they're just correcting it based on this forum's thread.
