Lil help with launch
I just got my 2013 335i sport 8at yesterday and this thing surprised me. Im going to the dragstrip today to get a baseline before i tune it. It has goodyear ecogrip runflats on it. Should i even bother dropping the pressure on those? What is a good rpm to stall up to? Do i use sport+ mode? Do i let the car do the shifts on its own? Ive been dragracing for about 20 yrs so just point me in the right direction and ill get it down.

at the time, i had the stock bridgestone potenza runflats (225/35R18) and mod wise i just had a BMS intake and a muffler delete, but now i have federal 595RS-RR's and a BMS stage 1 so hopefully i can get to the dragstrip sometime soon and report back

Sport plus, shifter pulled to the left (S1), brake all the way down, throttle all the way down. Builds turbo pressure and keeps traction without lunging. Granted I have xDrive so I don't know what would happen with the RWD when you let off the brakes, but I don't have traction issues!

Do you guys notice better times when In S or manually shifting. Also do you bother turning traction completely off or just sport +. I have x drive so I find launch control hooks fine.

After I had my dyno performed, I saw the turbo drops out STEEPLY after 6200rpm. I would recommend shifting manually at 6,000 as I believe the car waits until 7,000 when you let it shift itself. Check out my build thread to see the dyno graphs stock and with my tune to see what I am referring to.
